"We just want to find our friends."
"Well, then you can go to Hell."
―Daisy Johnson and Viola[src]

In 1931, Viola arranged for Freddy Malick to deliver a key ingredient that HYDRA needed for the Super Soldier Serum at Hell's Harbor. Malick arrived in Hell's Harbor, accompanied by S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Alphonso Mackenzie and Agent Deke Shaw. Shaw communicated with Daisy Johnson on a two-way radio, when Johnson told Shaw to shoot Malick so that he would not father Gideon Malick, a future head of HYDRA who would cause problems. Shaw briefly considered shooting Malick, but changed his mind right before the Chronicom Hunters Luke and Abel attacked Malick. The three took cover, and were eventually joined by Johnson, Ernest Koenig, Enoch, and a Life-Model Decoy of Phil Coulson.

While the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fought the Chronicoms, Malick ran away and was found by Koenig. Koenig attempted to discourage Malick from following through on the deal, but Malick shot him and left with the serum ingredient. Coulson, Johnson, Shaw, and Mackenzie left in order to leave for another time period, but Enoch got left behind.[1]
