Senator Harrison is a United States Senator who met with Darcy Lewis regarding funding for important scientific research projects.

Biography[]

Senate Work[]

Harrison was elected to the United States Senate, with his political campaign mostly being funded by groups that denied aspects of science. Harrison himself believed that the Earth was flat. He headed a committee determining which research opportunities would get funding. Despite being married, he also was involved in an affair with a red-haired woman.[1]

Meeting with Darcy Lewis[]

As part of her new job as Head of Science-Based Initiatives, Darcy Lewis set up a meeting with Harrison to try to convince him to fund various important research projects and science-based school and community programs. Darcy expressed dismay regarding Harrison's beliefs and supporters, but claimed that, as he was the one in charge of funding, she had no choice but to try to deal with him and convince him of her projects' merits. Expecting his resistance, Darcy compiled data on the benefits of pursuing science in the hopes that she could convince him not to say no to the future. She also acquired a series of photographs of Harrison kissing his mistress, which she hoped she could use to blackmail him if he refused to fund her work, much to the dismay of Erik Selvig.[1]
