Gertrude "Gert" Yorkes was a recreation of the real Gert Yorkes in the Healing Algorithm, generated from Chase Stein's fantasies of being a hero.

This version of Gert Yorkes was generated by the Healing Algorithm by tapping into Chase Stein's desire to appear as a hero in his girlfriend's eyes. In this simulation, Yorkes was being sacrificed by PRIDE in the Hostel by being put in a Dematerialization Box, but she was eventually constantly saved by Stein, who kissed her and who she called her hero. As Stein prepared to check on the other Runaways, Yorkes asked him whether he could teach her mouth-to-mouth.^[1]

As Stein understood that he was trapped in a simulation, causing him to stop trying to save her, Yorkes continued to beg for his help, running towards him and asking him to protect her. However, since she had not the distinctive feature of the real Yorkes of constantly speaking about patriarchy and sexism, and due to the very fact that she asked a man for protection, she could no longer count on Stein. Eventually, Stein caused her to disappear from the simulation as he was overwhelmed.^[2]
