In the comics, Parker Robbins was originally a petty criminal who stole money to help his ill mother, until he defeated and robbed a Nisanti demon, taking its hood and boots and gaining levitation and invisibility abilities in the process. During the Superhuman Civil War, Robbins created a successful criminal empire which eventually led to conflicts with Dormammu and the Norn Stones.
