- "I am E.D.I.T.H. Tony Stark's augmented reality security and defense system."
"So he made you for me?"
"No. But you have access to all of Tony's protocols." - âE.D.I.T.H. and Peter Parker[src]
Even Dead, I'm The Hero (E.D.I.T.H.) is an augmented reality security, defense and artificial tactical intelligence system created by Tony Stark and bequeathed to Peter Parker following Stark's death. Housed in a pair of sunglasses, E.D.I.T.H. gave its users access to Stark Industries' global satellite network along with an arsenal of missiles and drones.
In 2024, Parker briefly granted control of E.D.I.T.H. to Quentin Beck, who used the A.I. to launch an attack on London. Following Beck's death, Parker reclaimed the glasses, along with E.D.I.T.H. However, as a result of Parker's identity as Spider-Man being exposed along with him being suspected as Beck's killer, the glasses were photographed as evidence.
History[]
Created by Tony Stark[]
- "E.D.I.T.H. stands for 'Even Dead, I'm The Hero'. Tony loved his acronyms."
- âE.D.I.T.H. to Peter Parker[src]
E.D.I.T.H. is an A.I. created by Tony Stark that was given security, defense and tactical intelligence properties, being capable of accessing the Stark Industries' global satellite network and hack into nearly any computerized device. Believing that the Avengers would be successful in resurrecting the victims of the Snap, Stark arranged for E.D.I.T.H., which he uploaded in a pair of his glasses, to be given to Nick Fury in the event that he died, intending for Fury to pass it down to Peter Parker, whom he had programmed to be the only authorized user of E.D.I.T.H.[1]
Used by Peter Parker[]
- "Stark gave you a multi-billion dollar AR tactical intelligence system."
- âTalos to Spider-Man[src]
Following the death of Tony Stark, E.D.I.T.H was given to Nick Fury to hand over to Peter Parker. However, Fury outsourced the task to Talos, a Skrull whom he had asked to impersonate him. Talos delivered the glasses to Parker eight months after Stark's death while attempting to recruit him to help fight the Elementals. At first, Parker was excited at the aspect of being entrusted with such power; however, after accidentally initiating a drone strike against his classmate Brad Davis, he began to feel that he was unworthy of this power and later bequeathed it to Quentin Beck, believing Beck to be worthy of becoming the "next Iron Man." Parker would eventually reclaim the glasses back from Beck after the Battle of London.[1]
Used by Quentin Beck[]
- "With our technology, and with E.D.I.T.H., Mysterio will be the greatest hero on Earth."
- âQuentin Beck[src]
Once Beck had control of E.D.I.T.H., he wired her into his system and through her, gained control of the Stark Industries defense satellite. Through this, Beck now had access to the Stark Industries Combat Drones housed in it, greatly amplifying the scale and capability of his illusions. He also utilized E.D.I.T.H.âs hacking capabilities, using her to find that Peter Parker and Michelle Jones had his missing projector, leading to him eventually tricking and defeating Parker with his illusions. Beck utilized his increased number of drones to create the Elemental Fusion, destroying much of London. Beck used E.D.I.T.H. to direct his drones to attempt to kill Happy Hogan and the rest of Parker's classmates through the display on his wrist.
When Parker finally confronted Beck, Beck ordered E.D.I.T.H. to fire all of the drones, with her protesting that he was in the firing line. Eventually, after defeating Mysterio's illusions, Parker took the glasses and was welcomed back by E.D.I.T.H. He ordered all of the drones to be shut down, and presumably returned to the satellite. This would later be used against Parker by Beck's team when revealing Parker's identity. Parker then took the glasses back to New York City.[1]
Inactive[]
About a week later, following the reveal that Peter Parker was Spider-Man, the glasses were photographed as evidence by the United States Department of Damage Control. Later, in November of that year, Parker saw that the Iron Spider Armor's HUD listed E.D.I.T.H. as offline.[2]

Capabilities[]
- "I have access to the entire Stark global security network, including multiple defense satellites, as well as back doors to all major telecommunication networks."
- âE.D.I.T.H. to Peter Parker[src]
E.D.I.T.H. is the user interface to the entire Stark Industries network. It allows the user full access to the entire Stark satellite network, which comes with several hundred tactical drones. E.D.I.T.H also provides backdoor access to many of the world's largest telecommunications companies giving the user access to all of the target's personal information and potential hacking capabilities to a large number of communication systems.

Behind the Scenes[]
- Early during the development of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers talked about the possibility of having Tony Stark's voice heard from E.D.I.T.H., but they dropped the idea because they didn't want to lean too hard.[3]
