Yoshi's Island is the fourth course of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Fruit Cup, only accessible with the Booster Course Pass DLC. Similar to Hyrule Circuit and Animal Crossing, Yoshi's Island is based off of a different game, with this one being Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It appears to be nearly an exact remake of Yoshi's Island from that game. Enemies from that game also appear on the track, including Stilt Guys. Several other characters and enemies from Yoshi's Island can also be seen such as Goonies, Huffin' Puffins, and a Nep-Enut.

Layout[]

Racers line up at the starting line under Yoshi's House, with a view of the upcoming track ahead. Shortly, they will arrive at a bridge with the first set of six item boxes, before taking a slight left turn, which leads into a right turn and a subsequent left turn, and provides for a mushroom shortcut. In these turns are two Stilt Guys who will cause you to spin out if touched. After the second left turn, players will drive under a log and pass into a water section, tricking off the ramp along the way and dodging a hanging Piranha Plant. While underwater players will have the chance to trick off of one of two Waterspouts under water, which briefly propel the driver into the air. After the Waterspouts, a pair of Sidesteppers stand in the path, before a left turn into a castle. At the entrance of the castle, six more item boxes are available, including two double boxes. Once in the castle, the players will take a right turn, through the castle, which resembles a cave, adorned with blue glowing crystals. The racers then take a left turn up a snowy volcanic mountain, which has an available mushroom cut. Upon reaching the end of the turn, racers will reach a glider ramp, which will boost them to the cloud section above, while avoiding lave from the top of the mountain. Racers will make a U-Turn around a tower while driving on the clouds, with a ramp for a trick boost available. Most of the way through the turn, another set of six item boxes is open for collection. Players will then reach another glider ramp, and will glide in the air temporarily, given the chance to hit a Winged Cloud. This will open a red staircase, which cuts the following turn tighter than the usual turn and makes for a timesave. After driving down the hill back to Yoshi's House, a mass of Coins within the GOAL! Ring is available in the air for those who take the stairs down, and the lap will be complete upon exiting Yoshi's House.
