Paris Promenade (referred to as Paris Promenade 1 from version 1.2.0 to 1.4.0) is a racecourse in Mario Kart Tour, being the first of the three different routes of Paris Promenade. It takes place and bears the name of Paris, a city in France. Paris Promenade makes its debut in the city's namesake tour, the 2019 Paris Tour. Variations of the course include Paris Promenade R (reverse), Paris Promenade T (with ramps), and Paris Promenade R/T (reverse and with ramps). Paris Promenade is a favorite of Peach (Vacation), Mario (Santa), Luigi (Classic), and Waluigi (Bus Driver).

The entire course later returned in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass, as the first course of Golden Dash Cup. Here, it is formatted Tour Paris Promenade to denote its origin from Mario Kart Tour. Paris Promenade (or rather, Paris Promenade 1) is part of this amalgamation and is visited for the first half of Lap 1.

Course layout[]

The course visits the city's southern half. Racers start at a road facing the Arc de Triomphe. One bypass road for the Arc appears on the left side (south according to the map), though they can also use a shortcut inside the Arc by breaking through two wooden cutouts of a Piranha Plant. (The racers will take damage if their cars slam into a cutout without a boosting item or a Super Star. After a gradual left onto the south path, the player encounters a Glide Ramp that sends them over the Jardins du Trocadéro and underneath the Eiffel Tower, where some Goombas reside. Afterwards, the player must make a sharp left, followed by another left next to a Big Piranha Plant and a bypass of the Luxor Obelisk leading to the finish line. As with the Arc de Triomphe, the racers are confined to the left s

In the Booster Course Pass, this route is used for the first half of Lap 1 and the second half of Lap 3, being driven in reverse with the choice to instead take Paris Promenade 3 in reverse for the latter, though both paths rejoin. Unlike in Mario Kart Tour, racers are no longer restricted to the south half of the Arc de Triomphe, though the north exit is still blocked until the start of Lap 3 (which starts as Paris Promenade 2 in reverse), then gets blocked off again when the racers come back here.
