The Star Tourney is the third tournament in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. It is unlocked by completing Flower Tourney. It consists of four courts: Wario Factory, Jr. Street, Bowser's Castle, and the unlockable Glare Desert. Completing the Star Tourney unlocks the Rainbow Tourney.

Various content can be unlocked by completing Star Tourney on a certain difficulty or by obtaining a bronze, silver, or gold prize at minimum, depending on the item.
- Bowser: Complete on normal difficulty with at least a bronze prize.
- Moogle: Complete on normal difficulty with at least a silver prize.
- Spiked Ball: Complete on normal difficulty with a gold prize.
- Fly Guy: Complete on hard difficulty with at least a bronze prize.
- Fly Guy alternate costume: Complete on hard difficulty with at least a silver prize.
- Goomba Ball: Complete on hard difficulty with a gold prize.
