Baraom (バラオム, Baraomu) is a character in Kamen Rider Black Sun. He is one of the Three Priests of the Gorgom Party as the Saber-toothed Tiger Kaijin (剣歯虎怪人, Sāberutaigā, Saber-Tiger).
History[]
Past life[]
Baraom was a senior member of the Gorgom minority movement back in the 1970s, acting as their primary muscleman. He, together with Darom and Bishum would go on to negotiate with Prime Minister Michinosuke Donami for better treatment of Kaijins, using the politician's kidnapped grandson as leverage. Despite this, Darom was coerced into giving control of the Creation King to the government, and Baraom had to curb an enraged Bilgenia as a result.
He was the one who defeated and captured Nobuhiko, when he learned of the latter's plot to kill the Creation King.
As one of the High Priests[]
By 2022, Baraom had risen through the ranks and become one of the three leaders of the Gorgom Party. He assisted the others in the quest of locating the full Kingstone, so that a new Creation King could be born. During this time, Nobuhiko managed to escape from prison and came to blows with him and the other members of the Party.
He was present when Kotaro and Nobuhiko attacked the Gorgom headquarters. Afterwards, the latter would come back and take over the Party, wanting it to become a Kaijin supremacist group and subdue humanity. Witnessing Darom's death at the hands of Bishum and the humiliation of Bilgenia, Baraom chose not to follow the new leader, being imprisoned as a result.
Some time later, Baraom was freed for one last chance to cooperate, but he was adamant that he would never join his old foe. Because of this, Nobuhiko had all Kaijins present at the time stab the High Priest repeatedly until he eventually died.
Personality[]
Acting as the main strongman of Gorgom, Baraom was confident in his physical strength, which had enabled him to subdue Nobuhiko decades before. He believed that he alone could capture the rogue Gorgom member again should they ever cross paths during the latter's time as a fugitive.
Being a High Priest, Baraom was involved in virtually all of Gorgom's artrocious crimes, either against humanity or against his own race. Unlike Darom, Baraom was seemingly motivated by nothing but self - interest, enjoying himself while enforcing his rule over those he deemed inferior. He also showed a sadistic side, taunting and mocking Nobuhiko's fate as a prisoner for years.
