Shigeo Komatsu (川本 莉乃, Komatsu Shigeo) is the father of Shunsuke Komatsu and husband of Sachi Komatsu.
History[]
Shigeo was a pro-Kaijin human who was married to Sachi, a Sparrow Kaijin. Together, they had a son, Shunsuke, who was also a Sparrow Kaijin like his mother. The family welcomed their son's childhood friend, Aoi Izumi, as one of their own, inviting her to meals every now and then. He also had to deal with the constant bigoted sentiments levelled at his family from anti-Kaijin protesters, particularly those coming from Wataru Igaki.
Shigeo witnessed the corpse of his son, who had been beaten to death by Wataru and his men and hanged up a utility pole. Driven by revenge, Shigeo hid a knife under his coat the following day, intent on murdering Wataru when the latter was holding another rally. Before he could commit the act, however, Nobuhiko Akizuki barged in and, using his new transformation into Kamen Rider Shadowmoon, made Wataru's head explode in front of Shigeo's eyes.
In Shunsuke's wake, Shigeo and his family were mourning their son when law enforcement broke into their house and demanded the corpse. Despite the grief and disapproval of the household, Shunsuke's body was still taken away by the authorities.
