The Employees that work within the facility of the Rainbow Friends are the unseen overarching antagonists of lettucekale's 2022 Rainbow Friends Wattpad fanfiction, Project ODD.
They are the neglectful abusive employees that had abused the Rainbow Friends within the facility between 1990 and 1991. Though they are only mentioned, they had made a lasting impact on the other Rainbow Friends.
What Makes Them a Hate Sink?[]
- They had abused the Rainbow Friends when the facility was still open, both physically and emotionally.
- What's worse is that the Rainbow Friends were children that had been turned into monsters by Oswald D. Davis, meaning that the employees had committed child abuse.
- When Purple attempted to escape the facility one time, an employee went after him and tazed him, before taunting him for trying to escape. This would affect Purple so bad, he forgot how to speak proper English.
- Its also worth to mention that Purple was abused by the Employees the most, along with being abused by all the visitors that went to the attraction.
- It is mentioned by Blue that the employees restrained them when they shower, possibly to prevent them from lashing out if they try to escape.
- When the facility closed in 1991 after Oswald was turned into the Rainbow Friend, Indigo, the employees abandoned the rest of the Rainbow Friends.
- It's implied that they never bothered to feed them when they abandoned the facility. This would cause the Rainbow Friends to become feral misanthropic monsters, and would be indirectly responsible for the deaths of several children (including Opal) during the events of Volume 1 of Project ODD.
- As said above, they had not received any comeuppance whatsoever, making them Karma Houdinis.
- Overall, they are abusive, neglectful employees that represent how awful one can be at their job.
