The Declasse Tahoma Coupe is a two-door muscle car featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the continuation of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, released on December 16th, 2022.
Influence[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The Tahoma Coupe appears to be largely based on the 1978–1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, with the grille derived from the 1977 models. The headlights bear a resemblance to the 1971 Chevrolet Caprice, while the tail lights are derived from the 1982–1986 Pontiac Bonneville, similarly to the Esperanto. The C-pillar window is seemingly borrowed from the 1978–1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme coupe.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
The car bears a relatively simple design with a rather bulky profile, where the front mounts a large bumper with silver/chrome strips on the upper area and the quarters of the same, as well as a license plate on the center. The upper area is predominated by a protruding nose with three rectangular grilles and silver lettering displaying the car's name on the driver side, while the outer sections have silver/chrome housings with dual circular headlights and rectangular amber indicators. The hood area bears a distinctive shape starting from the grille area and extends towards either side of the cabin windshield, while a protruding line can be seen on the center.
The sides of the car are denoted by the curved shapes around the fenders, in addition of the flared wheel arches. There are various silver/chrome strips running through the sides and wheel arches, with larger ones located at the bottom and over the skirting areas of the car, while the "DECLASSE" lettering can be seen around the front quarters. The doors bear silver/chrome horizontal handles and painted wing mirrors, while the cabin area bears silver/chrome trim around the windows and small rear-quarter windows, along with a C-pillar running towards the roof area. The roof area has a small black/plastic strip separating the panel from the aforementioned C-pillar. The rearmost section assumes a slanted profile and bears the corresponding trunk lid.
The rear end of the car's trunk lid has the manufacturer emblem on the center and the silver lettering displaying the car's name on the passenger side, while the section below is occupied by the license plate on the center and the large tail lights with silver/chrome trim on either side. Each tail light consist of two rows with numerous square units, where the white innermost columns are the reverse units, the red innermost column are the brake units, the other four red columns are the main units and the amber outermost columns are the indicators. The bottom mounts a similar bumper with silver/chrome strips, although the lower strips are longer due to the flatter shape compared to the front the bumper. The underside denotes the exhaust setup, being two angled pipes on either side of the rear section, with silver/chrome tips. The vehicle's interior and dials are reused from the Faction.
The car is painted with a primary color for most of the bodywork, part of the bumpers, the wing mirrors, the engine cam covers and the overstitches of the interior, while the secondary color seems to be only applied to the secondary-colored options available in Los Santos Customs and other mod shops. A trim color is also available for the interior. The rims are depicted with a silver/chrome finish, having a large circular center and numerous spokes around.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
By default, the Tahoma Coupe has a slow, laid-back acceleration that does not offer a lot of power, but has good handling to go for. When fully upgraded, the vehicle becomes a fierce competitor in the Muscle class, as fully upgrading its Engine and Transmission makes it a force to be reckoned with, keeping up with faster Muscle cars especially at longer straights. Upgrading its Suspension can make it handle even better, but can still spin out if turning too aggressively. It is not recommended to pull off wheelies with a fully-upgraded suspension, as its rear bumper can hit the ground upon takeoff, disrupting its momentum.
Powering the rear wheels of the Tahoma Coupe is what is modeled as a single camshaft V8 with a rectangular air filter on top, coupled with a 3-speed gearbox. Its sound is shared with the Buccaneer and the Chino, albeit with a higher pitch when at higher revolutions. Certain modifications also allow the addition of a supercharger.
