The HVY Docktug is a single-occupant industrial truck found in Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The Docktug is primarily based on the Ottawa Commando 4x2 Terminal Yard Tractor, an American terminal tractor, primarily used for moving semitrailers around a shipping yard. The truck also draws influence from the Capacity TJ5000 seen in the flatter front, offset grille, headlight position and singular rear window. Furthermore, the headlights and some additional elements seem to be taken from the Autocar ACTT and the CNHTC Hova Sinotruk Terminal Tractor.
Design[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
The Docktug assumes an asymmetrical design, where the front end features a ram bar with the typical yellow-black warning pattern, while the section above has a small grille, square-shaped headlights and rectangular turning lights. While the left quarter is straight, the right quarter assumes an angled shape, causing the characteristic asymmetry. The grille is also slightly off-set to the right, while a small unusable compartment can be seen below the cabin windshield.
The main cabin only occupies the left side of the wheelbase instead of the entire wheelbase's width. It has the corresponding access door, side steps, grab handles and rear-view mirrors on the left-hand side, while the right-hand side of the same cab mounts a set of dual trumpet horns and an amber beacon (though it works as a marker light when the engine is on). The section beside the cabin is occupied by an elevated compartment where the engine would be located and a tall pole/frame that mounts a rear-view mirror. The roof has an angled shape and features a small window, together with several marker lights on the frontal portion. The cab also has a large window on the rear, which allows the character to look behind when in first-person view.
The rear section mainly consist of the chassis, which mounts a large fuel tank on the left, an access ladder on the right and small fenders above the rear wheels, while the upper area is mostly occupied by metal panels, a tall frame behind the cab and a large exhaust stack on the right-hand side. The section above the rear axle is occupied by the typical platform for trailers, while the rear end lack any sort of tail lights or license plate. Several red-white warning strips can be seen around the cabin area, left side steps, right access ladder and rear frame.
The interior of the truck only has room for the driver and features a small dashboard with the corresponding steering wheel. In the enhanced version, it uses analog "Truck" dials.
The truck is only seen in a white color applied on the main cab and rear fenders, and uses a set of industrial wheels derived from trucks such as the Benson, the Mule and the Phantom.

Performance[]
Grand Theft Auto V and Online[]
Because of its singular purpose in short-haul trailer transporting, the Docktug does not possess exceptional performance figures. Acceleration is just below the Phantom and braking is adequate for its smaller size, but handling is rather good due to the short wheelbase and 6-wheeled layout. This, however, can lead to oversteer when driving at higher speeds.
Attaching a container trailer tend to be problematic, as the trailer seems too long for the vehicle and becomes stuck in the semi's rear hinges and rack. Once it is successfully attached, it will collide constantly with the truck's rear at turns, often interrupting the normal driving.
Because of the smaller size and weight, the Docktug will not knock cars out of the way in a collision, although it can cause significant damage depending on the size of the vehicle hit. The Docktug is not particularly resistant to gunfire, though the windows are partially bulletproof and will eventually crack and shatter under sustained gunfire, providing some additional protection for the driver.[2]
The Docktug has no visible engine model due to its compact and cab-over body design, however, the engine sound revs moderately high (yet still lower than other trucks, such as the Benson and Police Riot), and provides a significantly smooth engine sound, yet the roar produced from the engine can still be heard unlike the aforementioned vehicles.

Locations[]
Grand Theft Auto V[]
The Docktug is not able to spawn randomly around San Andreas, making it less common than other semi trucks, but can still be found parked and driven in specific locations.
- Frequently spawns in and around the warehouses and docks in Elysian Island.
- Frequently spawns near the oil pumps in Banning.
- Will sometimes (rarely) be seen driving around the Los Santos International Airport.
- Found sometimes at the Murrieta Oil Field.
Grand Theft Auto Online[]
- Rarely seen on Strawberry Avenue.
- May spawn on Elysian Island.
Oversights[]
Grand Theft Auto V[]
- When using the horn, there is a small delay before the character presses the horn. The character will also remove their hand from the horn even if the player is still holding the horn on. This also applies to the Tractor and Mower.
