Story[]
In Phoenicis, King Tibarn visits Leanne, who is adjusting to life by the sea. He expresses concern about Lord Lorazieh's condition, but hopes for improvement. A letter arrives from Reyson, revealing that the Crimean army is safely traveling through Daein but requests reinforcements. Tibarn, unable to leave Leanne and Lorazieh alone, prepares a plan to send help. Leanne and Lotz, a servant, struggle to communicate while packing, and suddenly, the Black Knight appears, capturing Leanne. He takes her to Ashnard, who plans to use her to revive the dark god and strengthen his power. When Tibarn is informed of Lotz's injuries after a confrontation with the Black Knight, he swears vengeance.
Meanwhile, Ike and his allies prepare to join forces with the Gallian army. They learn of an enemy ambush on a mountain pass and decide to go through it, despite the risks. Daein soldiers, led by Gromell, prepare a trap by rolling boulders down a cliff to block Crimea’s advance. Ike and his group, led by Titania and Ranulf, plan to climb the mountain swiftly and defeat the enemy commander.
They managed to kill Gromell, but some of the remaining Daein soldiers launch a sudden ambush. In this scene, Luckily, Tibarn arrives to help, striking down the enemy with ease. He explains that he came to aid them after Reyson requested it, but also has his own reasons for joining the fight. They meet with King Caineghis of Gallia, where they discuss the ongoing war against Daein and its deeper implications.
Ike reveals what he learned about his parents and their involvement in the events leading to the war. Caineghis realized King Ashnard's hidden agenda: to release the dark god imprisoned within the medallion, which could bring catastrophe to the world. The heroes discuss how Ashnard’s war strategy, particularly his invasion of Crimea, is part of a plan to trigger the release of this dark god. Soren deduces that Ashnard's aim was to provoke a continent-wide war to free them, and Caineghis realizes their attack on Daein's capital could unknowingly fulfill that goal. Reyson, who possesses a special power to suppress the dark god's chaotic energies, reveals that if the medallion were in his possession, he might be able to prevent disaster. Unfortunately, it was lost due to Mist’s carelessness, which she feels guilty about. The situation becomes even more complicated when Tibarn reveals that Leanne has been kidnapped. This adds urgency to their mission, as the dark god’s release could be tied to her capture. Despite the chaos, the group remains resolute in their determination to end the war and prevent the dark god from being unleashed.
