“If true, it changes the meaning behind this war... The treatment of Lillia is one thing but...The assassination of the former apostle? The framing and destruction of my nation? If it was all part of Daein's plan to steal the medallion and the song, then I...I... The reason I fight...”

Lillia is a backstory character in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. She was the third Princess of Serenes and was the heron who gave Lehran's Medallion to Elena, Ike's mother.
Profile[]
Lillia was abducted and later killed by Ashnard, who wanted to free Yune from the Medallion but didn't have the power to do so. Before that, she resided in a small room in the cellars of Palmeni Temple, as revealed when Chapter 22 is completed. It was there that she left messages written in the Ancient Language on the walls of her room telling her story.
Etymology[]
Lillia may be an elaborated form of Lily. In flower language, the lily represents purity, innocence, and rebirth.
Trivia[]
- In Path of Radiance, Reyson explicitly refers to Lillia as his "older sister" when he discovers the cell in which she was imprisoned and reads the messages she left behind. But in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, when Lehran's Medallion is about to break and release the dark god, Tibarn calls Lillia the "Heron Queen". This is a mis-translation, as Tibarn originally referred to her as the "Heron Princess".
