Garula (ガルラ, Garura?), also known as Galura, is a recurring enemy in the Final Fantasy series. It is a docile mammoth-like creature with a short trunk and tusks.
Appearances[]
Final Fantasy V[]

Normally docile creatures, Garulas encountered as regular enemies will not attack the party and flee after a few turns. However, the party encounters a rampaging Garula in the Walse Tower as a boss, dealing heavy physical damage and countering incoming attacks. The boss Garula can also be encountered in the Cloister of the Dead.
Final Fantasy XIV[]
The Garula (erroneously localized as Galura before patch 4.01) is encountered as the first boss of Bardam's Mettle. Conversely to most other bosses, the Garula is flagged as a passive creature and asleep when the party encounters it, referencing its docile nature. Nonetheless, the party must engage the Garula to proceed in the dungeon.
Another Garula appears in The Great Hunt and its Extreme version. It is the strongest of the rampaging animals attempting to fight back against the Rathalos. Despite this, the party must defeat the Garula themselves in order to use its corpse as cover against the Rathalos' strongest attack.
Final Fantasy XV[]

Garula is an enemy fought in the plains of Duscae as regular enemies and during Hunts. Wild garula are some of the few benign enemies in the game, and will only attack if provoked. They sometimes cross the road at creature crossings.
A King's Tale: Final Fantasy XV[]

Garulas are docile, but are easily startled and will aggressively charge at Regis if he gets too close. Garulas are the only enemies in the game that do not have to be defeated to progress as they will flee off-screen after charging.
