Hawkgirl is a legacy character whose mantle has been taken by two identical women who are both partners and wives of their respective incarnation of fellow superhero Hawkman, as well as a young adult. Shiera Sanders is the reincarnation of Egyptian princess Chay-Ara, and has reincarnated before in past eras of human history, sometimes taking their own identities. After briefly dying, Sanders' soul would end up possessing the dead corpse of her niece, Kendra Saunders, resurrecting her as a result. Shayera Thal is a police officer from the planet Thanagar who came to Earth chasing the criminal Byth Rok.

Shiera Hall was one of the members of the Justice League who decided to take a more merciless approach and eliminate those who worshipped Darkseid. With the consent of Aquaman, Hawkgirl remains as general. But when the time portal was discovered, she didn't refuse her chance.

Lego Batman 4: Marvel vs. DC[]

Shiera Hall & Kendra Saunders both appear as unlockable playable characters in a crossover game between Lego Batman (hence the title) and Lego Marvel. Shiera is one of the heroes present in the Hall of Justice when it was attacked by Hydra forces led by Professor Zoom, Captain Cold, Heat Wave, and Solomon Grundy. Her character token is hidden in the final level (Final Curtain (Possibly)), in the fight between the Hulk, Wolverine, Sabretooth, and the Abomination against the Taskmaster.
