Mr. Hyde-- Frankenstein's creation-- Dracula-- The Golem-- all of them! But not me! Not Basil Karlo! Not the Ultimate Clayface! My intentions will be clear from the start! I will take what I want-- when I want it! And any who stand in my way shall-- burn!”
Basil Karlo was a film actor who went insane at the prospect at a remake of one of his starring films, Dread Castle. Inexplicably having the ability to change the shape of his face, Karlo became the first Clayface, but as stopped from killing the cast by Batman & Robin. Other Clayfaces have appeared since then, taking the form of mutated monsters with a malleable claylike biology coupled with shapeshifting abilities. Karlo would later resurface, taking samples from each of these successive Clayfaces to become a monster himself, dubbing himself the "Ultimate Clayface."
Clayface appears as a boss and unlockable playable character in this crossover game between Lego Batman (hence the title) and Lego Marvel. He is hired by terrorist organization Hydra to steal chemicals from Ace Chemicals, but is stopped by Batman & Robin Tim Drake. Clayface is unlocked after the level (Face of Ace) is complete.
