Red Shift paint

	The following is based on Atomic Shop content.

Red Shift paint is a weapon, armor, and workshop object paint scheme in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

The skin changes the appearance of the items entirely, regardless of the item to which it is applied. The power armor paint includes unique sound effects and music that occur while entering the armor as well as while engaging enemies. The communist red star is featured prominently on the chest, above the words "America must be defeated!" painted in yellow in Chinese.

Behind the scenes[]

• Chris Ortega created concept art for the armor.^{[Non-game 1]}
• The Chinese slogan used extensively on Chinese assets (美帝必败!) means "American imperialism must be beaten!", a common slogan in China during the Vietnam War.^[1]
• The phrases in Chinese that are said from the power armor when entering combat or completing an event are all various forms of propaganda, such as: “为了人民！奋勇战斗！” For the people! Fight bravely! ^[2]
• Some of the concept art for the power armor featured the words "毛泽东选集", meaning "Selected Works of Mao Tse-Tung".
