Wood armor

Wood armor is an armor set in Fallout 76.

Characteristics[]

Wood armor is constructed from multiple large sections of tree bark and rope, fashioned into a crude set of armor. Some portions, mainly the torso, have rusted tin cans affixed to it as if to act as makeshift pockets. Small collections of dead lichen dot the exterior of the armor. It offers poor resistance against physical damage, and marginal resistance to energy damage.

With its already light weight and unique mod which makes it weigh even less and improves sneakiness, wood armor can be very effective for stealth.

Crafting[]

Wood armor cannot be crafted, and may only be found, purchased from vendors or awarded as an event reward.

Modifications[]

All Wood armor pieces have the same modifications.

Appearance[]

Paints can be applied to all armor parts. Although most of the paints have wood helmet in the preview, the helmet itself is not obtainable in the game.

Legendary effects[]

• Wood armor body pieces can be obtained with legendary effects.
• There is no level requirement to get legendary wood armor.
• Legendary wood armor can be bought with legendary scrip from Purveyor Murmrgh or can be awarded as drop from events or legendary enemies.
• Wood armor effects can be re-rolled using legendary crafting feature.

Locations[]

• Random pieces are sold by the Free States' vendor bots.
• Can be randomly found in locked safes, supply drops, and such.
• Can drop from behemoths and snallygasters.
• Guaranteed spawn inside the Responder cache at Morgantown Trainyard.
• Worn by dead Vault 51 dwellers. (unobtainable)
• Worn by cultists. (unobtainable)

Notes[]

• Wood armor is the lightest armor set in the game.
• The wood helmet is unused content, but it's included in the storefronts of wood armor paints.

Bugs[]

• PC Xbox One Playstation 4 Ghillie paint covers screen in first person view.^[verified]
• PC Xbox One Playstation 4 Paints (other than ghillie) cannot be applied to the wood helmet.^[verified]
• PC Xbox One Playstation 4 Shrouded mod doesn't provide any sneak bonus.^[patched]
  • Fixed with update 34.
