Overview[]
The Frontier Furnace is the Ignition Union's main base of operations in the Second Layer, and is opened after turning on the Generator, guarded by a Bone Keeper.

- Alpha, who you can talk to and acquire the Union Hook Talent as well as starting the quest that lets you obtain Arcwarder.
- Llevyn, who activates the Union's Elevator, the Deep-drill.
- Sunway, who explains Parasites, lanterns, and the existence of Carbuncles.
- A lantern right next to Sunway.
- Epsi, who only appears after choosing the apply heat option at the Firfire Caverns.
Trivia[]
- In Diver Journal III, some of the divers in Chaser's expedition got fed up and assembled an attempt to take shelter inside the furnace, but were most likely killed by him.
- You can enter here by breaking through the door with destructive mantras, however you won't be able to pick up the Arcwarder quest, obtain the Union Hook, or call the Deepdrill without the generator.
- Attempting to speak with Alpha or Sunway before turning on the generator will prompt the dialogue: "You get that generator working?"
- Llevyn has unique dialogue if you entered this way, saying "I know what you are." in a Yun'shul / Depths Voice font.
