Description[]

Hive Guards are NPCs that only spawns in Greathive Aratel.

They wear a pair of Woodland Pauldrons and Woodland Boots along with a pair of Crystal Pendant Earrings. In addition, they also don a Grandmaster Pathfinder Cloak outfit. Similar to any other guard, killing one will give the player negative reputation with The Hive.

Other than that, they are all either Vesperians, Ganymedes or Chrysids.

Moveset[]

A Hive Guard's arsenal consists of a Ritual Spear that has a chance to be enchanted along with the Flamecharm attunement:

The Hive Guard shoot a projectile that explodes after a short delay and blinds those looking at it. ◯ ◯ (☆☆☆)

Boons[]

  • Impervious - Immune to PvE scaling.

Talents[]

  • Flaming Flourish - Set enemies on fire when you flourish or uppercut them.
  • Hard Read - Hitting your opponent during a feint will cause them to be dazed.
  • Lightspeed Reflexes - Feinting gives a very brief auto-parry window.
  • Nullifying Clarity - Deal 15% more damage to enemies with status effects on them with your basic attacks, but the effect is removed on impact.
  • Polite Awakening - Recover 15% of your max health after getting up from being downed

Finisher[]

A Hive Guard executes it's opponent after knocking them:

Tips[]

  • Don't underestimate them. Anyone who entirely ignore them and focus on chasing their target are often quickly overwhelmed by Hive Guards due to their Flame Assault allowing them to quickly catch up with and ragdoll players.
  • They are very strong in numbers do not underestimate them if you hunt a target down in there Greathive Aratel.

Trivia[]

  • In Verse 1, they only consisted of Ganymedes and Vesperians. Chrysids were added to their ranks with the addition of the aspect to the game.
