- "Clubbed" means to go out to nightclubs.
- Constellation Battles is, of course, a parody of Star Wars.
- Dark Star searching for all the crystals to have full control over the universe is like the plot of Avengers: Infinity War.
- The film itself contains its own cast that references the numerous characters in the franchise as well as other jokes:

- The part where Dark Star reveals Dante is his son is similar to The Empire Strikes Back when Darth Vader reveals he's Luke Skywalker's father.
- Bill warning Cricket that Old Man Bobi-1 "does not make it to the end" is a reference to A New Hope when Obi-Wan Kenobi (as Ben Kenobi) willingly lets himself be struck down by Darth Vader to give Luke Skywalker's group some time to escape the Death Star.
- Dante finding out Starra's his sister is a reference to Return of the Jedi, where Luke finds out Leia's his sister.
- The camera sound effect used sounds identical to the iPhone camera shutter.
- On the title card, there is a drawing of the Eye of Providence with "Illiminati" written above, referencing the symbol's association with freemasonry.
- This allines with Andromeda's interest in conspiracies.
- Gloria's friends, Caitlin, Kaity-Lynn and Keightlynne, and the gag revolving around their similar names, are a reference to The Simpsons one-time characters Caitlin, Katelyn and Kate Lynn, who all appear in "Waverly Hills, 9-0-2-1-D'oh".
- Tilly's hairstyle resembles Sam Manson's hairstyle from Danny Phantom.
