Monkey White, known in Japan as Ukki White (ウッキーホワイト Ukī Howaito) is the most intelligent member of The Freaky Monkey Five. He can build various mechanical constructs, such as a robotic replica of Jimmy called Robo-Jimmy (Hikaru-Robo in Japan and Mecha-Hikaru in Europe) and the White Dragon. He is responsible for creating all of the enemies in Ape Escape 2 and Ape Escape: SaruSaru Big Mission (in Ape Escape 3, this role is instead filled by Doctor Tomoki).
Appearance[]
In his original appearance, he is an elderly monkey with white fur. He was massive, crooked teeth that leaves his mouth open at all times. He has two long white sideburns and a white goatee. He has red and green googles, similar to those green pants monkeys wear. Following this trend, he also has a silver backpack that is able to shoot missiles. The rest of his helmet is silver, and has two blue bars sticking out towards the top which act as his alert lights. He wears white shorts and a white loin cloth beneath a silver belt and the Specter buckle, a stable of the Freaky Monkey Five.
In Ape Escape 3, his motif is based on the castle-area he defends, where his helmet is shaped like a knight's with the alert light on the upper top of it. He retains the iconic red and green goggles. He wears no shirt, only a white cape. He has a large, chunky metal pants that are connected to red suspenders. His belly button now hangs out and sits on his pants. He has gold shoulder pads and a partial chest covering, relating back to the theme of castles and royalty. He has white gloves and brownish-red sandels with seemingly connected ankle parts.
In Saru Get You ~On Air~ 2nd and Ape Escape: SaruSaru Big Mission, he is back to more of an "insane scientist" type. He wears a damaged lab coat and a Peak Point Helmet reminiscent of an electricity router, with its alarm light on top and two antenna on the sides. His metal pants are now brown with a lighter brown path, where his loin cloth once was. His belly button is still exposed and the pants are held up by black suspender. His brown getas have springy heels to keep him higher.
Biography[]
Taking Vita-Z Bananas[]
White, along with four other chosen monkeys, were given Vita-Z Bananas by Specter. They formed the elite group Freaky Monkey Five.
Ape Escape 2[]

In Ape Escape 2, White Monkey is the fourth boss of the game. He got his hands on Jimmy's data and created Robo-Jimmy which he could control. White also foreshadowed their plan of Pipotchi's abduction and the "Lethargy Laser". He distracts Jimmy, allowing Red Monkey to grab Pipotchi and bring him back to Specter's base.
The player must avoid the Robo-Jimmy's attacks until it wears itself out when using the dash hoop, when they can then hit the back of the robot and throw off White Monkey - which allows the player to hit him. He wears all white except for his black suspenders and belt.
In the North American version of the game, he speaks in a German accent.
Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed[]
He and the other Freaky Monkey Five appear in cameos as possible fans of the player character if unlocked by a great performance. White Monkey will be a fan if the player can win one of the challenges and gives the player a free outfit.
Ape Escape 3[]
White Monkey returned as a Freaky Monkey Five member and the first boss in Ape Escape 3, this time with the addition of a huge mechanical dragon.

In the cutscene before the battle, we see the player character walk across a castle bridge. White Monkey then reveals himself at the castle entrance, piloting his latest creation, and spews a fireball that destroys half of the bridge behind them. The heroes imply that the dragon isn't impressive, and this winds up White Monkey. In their conversation, White accidentally exposes that Specter is behind the TV takeover. And so, to keep from spoiling their plans, White declares that he can't allow them to leave.
His most common move is a stomp that launches Hammer-borgs out of the castle windows. He and his dragon will also "sneeze", blowing wind at the player in an attempt to push them away.
His special attack, called "I'm Gonna Shish-Kabob You!" in North America and "Roast Chicken Deluxe!" in Europe, is a prolonged fire-breathing attack. This is enough to overheat the mech and expose two yellow windup keys on either side of the dragon's head, which are its weak points.
The player must charge through to the dragon's body and strike it repeatedly, whilst avoiding damage. This battle can be easily done with the Fantasy Knight, as its shield can block the dragon's fire breath, but other transformations work just as well.
Ape Escape: Big Mission (Saru Get You: Saru Saru Daisakusen)[]
White Monkey is the final member of the Freaky Monkey Five to be fought. The opening cutscene shows him playing a deadly game of chess with the Professor, who they had kidnapped at the beginning of the game, as a chess piece. Spike and Natalie teleport into the room, disrupting the game and making White Monkey decide to battle them.
Here, White Monkey controllers a machine which resembles himself towards the top. A giant mechanical hand hangs from the bottom and reaches into a hole in the arena and grabs one of five items; A hammer to send small shock waves through the ground, a boxing glove to hit the player directly, a machine gun to shoot bullets in a circular motion, an enemy ball that will spawn a teleborg when thrown, and a bomb that will explode when thrown.
The player is given a selection of 4 monkeys; A SAL monkey, a monkey with a laser gun, a red pants boxer monkey and a green pants missile monkey. The player must hit a button in the middle of the arena, which will magnetically drag down White Monkeys machine. This allows the player to hit the weak point (the wind up key) on the machine's back.
