Helga, known as Haruka in Japan (ハルカ) is a supporting character in the Ape Escape Series. She was introduced in Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed as a playable character. Her father is a friend of the Professor and she is the fifth member of Team Spike in Ape Escape: Million Monkeys.
Appearance[]
In Ape Escape: Million Monkeys Helga wears a black shirt with a pink flower on it, a orange stripped skirt, black socks, and brown shoes. She also wears a brown hat.
Personality[]
Helga is a kind, helpful, and intelligent girl. She deeply cares for her father as shown in her intermission she was distraught to see him missing.
Abilities[]
Like Spike, and the others she is very good with Gadgets.
Biography[]
Hi-Tech Tournament Champion[]
Helga quickly became the Hi-Tech Tournament champion.
Tragedy Strikes[]
Sometime later, when Helga wasn't home, her father was kidnapped by the Pipotrons. After researching that the Mystery Man was the one responsible, she went to participate in the Hi-Tech Tournament to get a disk with more information.
Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed[]
In Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed, she serves a significantly more important role in the story than most of the other characters in the game. She is the Hi-Tech Tournament's latest Champion.
Ape Escape: Million Monkeys[]
Helga is first seen as one of the people in the News along with the citizens. Later in the game, Spike must escort her to safety. She is also an ally to Specter for a moment in his Story.

Saru Get You ~On Air~[]
In the Saru Get You ~On Air~ anime, she is a tech genius and Robot Battle Champion. She appears to develop a crush on Kakeru.

- Even though she may have romantic feelings for Spike in the anime, it is not clear if she feels the same way about him in the games.
- Helga appears in the concept art of Project KIDZ, implying that she was originally going to appear in Ape Escape as a playable character but was scrapped for unknown reasons.
