He is voiced by David Vincent (who also voiced Gilgamesh and Assassin in the Fate/stay Night franchise, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez in Bleach, Phinks Magcub in Hunter x Hunter, Mael in The Seven Deadly Sins and Jin Kisaragi in BlazBlue) in the English dub for the latter.
Biography[]
ZZ was a mercenary hired by DIO to kill the Stardust Crusaders. He attacked while they were traveling by car on a narrow cliffside road between New Delhi, India and Pakistan. He approached in a dirty red Hudson Hornet with all its windows coated in thick dust, driving slow on the road in front of the group. Though Joseph warns Polnareff to take it easy as he's still a fugitive thanks to what Nena did, but Polnareff decided to blow past him, throwing dust and gravel all over the car. A few moments later, the car came up again from behind. Polnareff decided to let the car pass, but then it slowed down, forcing them to drive well below the speed limit. After a while, it let them pass again, but only as a trap - the moment Polnareff passed ZZ's car a large semi-truck came around the bend ahead, nearly crashing into them. Jotaro managed to stop them with Star Platinum, crushing the truck's engine and pushing their car out of the way. Afterward, the Crusaders decided their best course of action was to leave and pretend nothing happened.
The Crusaders come to a roadside bar selling sugarcane juice just across the border in Pakistan. When they stop for a bit, they notice the red Hudson Hornet is back. Realizing one of the juice bar's patrons must be the car's driver, they decide to beat up everyone present. As Kakyoin tries to talk them down, they hear the car's door slam and it drives away, so they give chase.
ZZ tricks the group into going onto a closed road, then slams into them from the side, pushing their car off the cliff. Kakyoin uses Heirophant Green to stretch up and attach their car's tow winch to the Hornet, stopping them from plummeting. Jotaro then sends up Star Platinum, grabbing the cable and pulling their car back up and punching ZZ's car off the cliff instead. The Crusaders reason that a stand user would have used his stand to save himself and so decide the car's driver must have been merely a random psychopath with a grudge. Though, they also question how the car got into the angle to t-bone their vehicle with how tight the cliffs were.
Just then, the ground shakes and the red car burrows up in front of them, transforming into a monstrous form. Jotaro moves to attack with Star Platinum, but the car shoots something they can't see, punching shallow holes into his body. As it fires more of the mysterious projectiles, the group realize they're being pelted with gasoline. ZZ gives them a monologue about how their path is ending while his begins, and pulls loose a cable to create a spark and set Jotaro on fire.
As ZZ laughs and gloats, Jotaro reveals he used the same trick ZZ had, burrowing underground with his stand to save himself. Jotaro responds to ZZ's speech by telling him that he's wrong about one path starting when another ends, that in this world everyone has to make their own path. Star Platinum then punches ZZ's car, sending its driver flying out and revealing him as a strange-looking man with enormous muscular arms, a slender body, and a pot belly. ZZ releases his stand, causing the monster car to transform back into a small red car, and begs for mercy.
The Stardust Crusaders take the car to continue onward. ZZ is left chained to a boulder with a sign nearby saying he's involved in ascetic training and would like to be left alone. He presumably died from exposure in the desert.
Powers and Abilities[]
“ | Go ahead and climb, there's no path left for you to take! No way to escape, no way to survive, and last but certainly not least, no future! Because this Wheel of Fortune is going to grind you into mincemeat and splatter you all over these boulders! I'll pave this mountain red with your guts! | „ |

ZZ's Stand, Wheel of Fortune, controls and transforms an existing car into the form of a monstrous Hudson Hornet. Its appearance and abilities can change as ZZ wills it, growing spikes from its wheels to climb walls, or sprout ant-like mandibles to burrow through the ground. It can also shoot small beads of gasoline like bullets, and create sparks to ignite them.
