Biography[]
Cameo is a mercenary hired by DIO to kill the Stardust Crusaders. The group encounters him while visiting a nameless island in the Red Sea. They first notice someone sneaking nearby, but it turns out to be Avdol's father. Distressed, Polnareff runs away from the rest of the group.
While wandering by the seashore, Polnareff uncovers a mysterious brass oil lamp, like the fabled Genie's lamp. As Polnareff attempts to rub the barnacles off the lamp, it suddenly billows out smoke and a strange being appears. Polnareff attempts to fight the being off with Silver Chariot, but the thing deflects all of his blows. Not holding the outburst against Polnareff, the being introduces itself as Cameo the Genie and offers Polnareff three wishes in exchange for freeing it from the lamp. Polnareff attempts to find out more, but Cameo refuses to answer any questions, only asking "do you want the answer to that question to be your wish? It's a bit on the boring side if you ask me!" Finally, Polnareff says that if Cameo is legit, then he should give Polnareff money to prove it.
As Cameo disappears, Polnareff hears a strange sound and finds a chest full of antique Napoleonic coins worth a fortune. Cameo appears again, asking if Polnareff is ready to make his next two wishes. Polnareff first asks to become a comic artist more famous than Walt Disney with his very own Polnareff Land amusement park, but then goes back on that and says he wants to have a beautiful girlfriend who will love him forever instead. As Cameo prepares to grant this wish, Polnareff stops him again. Having a realization, he asks for the only two things that really matter to him: for Cameo to return to life his murdered sister Sherry Polnareff and his friend Mohammed Avdol. Cameo says he will do as Polnareff asks, and vanishes once again.
Now alone, Polnareff hears a sound in the bushes. He goes to investigate, only for whatever the sound was to run off. He gives chase, and finally finds his sister Sherry, sitting naked in the tall grass and eating live birds. She tells her brother to stay away because her body is only half-formed and he'd hate her if he saw her. She proves she's the real Sherry by recounting a story from their childhood together, when she fed Jean Pierre's prized tropical bird to her cat. Jean Pierre tells her he doesn't care about things like that as he loves his sister unconditionally. In response, she says this is exactly what she wants because it means he won't mind if she eats him, then she turns around revealing her face is half-rotten and she attacks and tears at his flesh with her teeth.
Desperate, Polnareff calls upon Cameo once again. With tears in his eyes, he makes his third wish to send Sherry back to the grave to rest in peace. However, Cameo refuses. Cameo explains that actually the "Genie" Polnareff sees is a Stand named Judgement. Judgement's power is to read peoples' minds and create their wishes from the soil. Judgement has no control over the things that it creates and so he couldn't send Sherry back to the grave even if he wanted to, which he doesn't as killing Polnareff was his plan all along. Moving on, Cameo says that Polnareff has already made his third wish anyway, which he grants by creating a copy of Avdol next. The fake Avdol and Sherry both attack, tearing at Polnareff's body with their teeth. Polnareff tries to fight back, but Judgement appears again, showing its strength by restraining Chariot.
Defeated, Polnareff lays back and accepts his death as his punishment for not being there for his sister of Avdol. As he does, a second Avdol appears, grabbing the copy Avdol and destroying it with Magician's Red. Avdol explains that he was not actually killed by J. Geil and Hol Horse, that instead the stab from Hanged Man caused him to reel back so Hol Horse's bullet only bounced off his skull, giving him a concussion instead of killing him. Avdol tells Cameo to run away, but Cameo disagrees, saying instead of going back in shame to tell DIO bad news about an enemy they thought was dead being alive all along, he could instead bring back news that he himself killed both Polnareff and Avdol, and he throws the copy Sherry at Avdol.
Realizing the truth, Polnareff finishes off the fake Sherry with a stab to the chest. Cameo attacks again, throwing Avdol and Polnareff away. Secure in his own victory, he mockingly offers three wishes to Avdol. Avdol demands four wishes instead. Avdol attacks, explaining that he was holding back earlier for fear of his injuries opening up again, but that he can shatter Judgement's armor and cause serious damage if he uses his full strength. As he pummels Judgement mercilessly, he gives his first three wishes: to hear Judgement wail in agony, scream in terror, and cry out in regret. Defeated, Judgement disappears.
Avdol explains that a Stand as strong as Judgement can only be used from close range, and they go to look for the user. Polnareff spots a tube sticking out of the ground and they realize the user is hiding under the dirt, using the tube to breathe. Polnareff and Avdol put dirt, a spider, ants, and a lit match down the breathing tube, then both pull down their pants and pee into the tube next.
Cameo erupts from the ground, screaming. As Cameo begs for mercy, Avdol reveals his fourth wish: to not have to grant any of Cameo's wishes, then he incinerates Cameo.
Powers and Abilities[]

Judgement
Cameo's Stand, Judgement, takes the form of a large mechanical genie that grants wishes through the earth. He will unearth anything a person wishes for, even people. If a person is wished for, Judgement creates a doll of clay and dirt that looks like them. Because Cameo pulls wishes directly from the deep recesses of wishers' minds, these clay dolls look and act exactly like the wisher expects them to, even having knowledge of childhood memories.
The dolls created by Judgement are not actually fully under his control, by his own admission. As he explains to Polnareff, his power is only to grant wishes through the earth, what is done with them is up to the wisher. This is probably why he chose to target Polnareff specifically; Polnareff's own feelings of guilt made the dolls turn against him.
