Rainy Turtloid is one of the eight bosses from Mega Man X6. He is encountered in the Inami Temple. His weapon, the Meteor Rain, has him launch rain from above.

Personality[]
While Rainy is shown to be mind-mannered, he is still dutiful. Rainy is moved by his duty to serve Gate and was touched by how Gate revived him despite Rainy causing so much trouble. Rainy would thus lie his own life down so Gate can enact his plans. Rainy also held a deep respect for X and Zero and revealed that he would regret facing them.
Physical Appearance[]
Rainy Turtloid is a massive Repliroid. He takes up most of the screen. His mouth has a yellow reptilian beak. His outfit is a red and black suit of armour. His boots are black with white soles and grey clawed "toes". On his back is a shell with green gems that protects him.
History[]
Rainy Turtloid was created by Gate as a member of a water quality research team. He was given heightened defenses, which allowed him to explore highly polluted areas deemed too dangerous for humans and other Reploids. However, his high defenses were deemed too dangerous, and as such other researchers demanded that he is weakened, although Gate refused to comply with the demands to weaken his son. Rainy didn't want to see his master being punished, so he took his own life to not be a burden on Gate anymore. Gate later resurrected him as one of his Nightmare Investigators, sending him to the Inami Temple.
Rainy Turtloid is a very tough boss due to his shell, and can only be damaged after the crystals on his shell are destroyed and they regenerate after a while. He will fire a salvo of missiles that are concealed behind his shell, drawing blades from it and spinning around the arena. After he gets to half health, he will spin faster and use his Meteor Rain, making it very difficult to dodge his attacks. His weakness is the Ice Burst which can freeze him. Upon defeat, Rainy Turtloid surrenders his Meteor Rain.
