Mori is the secondary antagonist of the Blake's 7 episode "Volcano".
He was portrayed by Ben Howard, who also portrayed Hinks in Doctor Who and Benson in The Land That Time Forgot.
Biography[]
Mori was a Terran Federation commander. He was given a key role in Servalan's plan to gain control of both the Liberator and the planet Obsidian, with Servalan promising to make him her Supreme Commander if he succeeded.
Mori landed on Obsidian with Servalan and a squad of troopers. They were met by two of the local Pyroans, Natin and Milus, who gave Servalan a message from Bershar, her ally among the Pyroans. Servalan then ordered Mori to kill the pair. Although shocked, Mori carried out the order.
Servalan returned to her command ship, leaving Mori to lead the troopers in meeting with Bershar, who had led Tarrant and Dayna to them. Mori took the pair prisoner and took their teleport bracelets but Bershar refused to let him kill them. Mori instead left the pair with Bershar, then used the bracelets to trick the Liberator into teleporting himself and his troopers on board. Mori tried to take control of the ship but Avon managed to instruct Zen to open fire on the approaching Federation fleet, then used the distraction to initiate a brief gun battle in which two troopers were killed. Mori retreated with his remaining trooper, teleporting back down to the surface and taking Cally and Orac with him.
Mori's demise
Mori contacted Servalan, who agreed to have the Federation fleet pick him up (and, more importantly, Orac). Mori had Orac send out a homing beacon. Tarrant and Dayna had got free and went to find Cally. Mori set up an ambush at the top of the planet's volcano but Cally telepathically warned her friends. Dayna threw a grenade at the pair and the explosion killed the trooper and sent Mori hurtling into the volcano to his doom.
