Glemy Toto is the secondary antagonist of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. At first he is shown to be an officer in Axis/Neo-Zeon and subordinate of Haman Karn. However, he eventually became as a main threat as much as Haman in the series' second half.
It is later revealed he is descended from the Zabi family and he betrays Neo-Zeon to reestablish the Zabi dictatorship under himself, forming the "Glemy Faction" to defeat both Haman and AEUG. His subordinates include Ple Two and her "sisters", Rakan Dahkaran and others.
His connection to the Zabi family is uncertain, as he is rumored to be either a clone or secret child of the late Gihren Zabi.
He was voiced by Tsutomu Kashiwakura in Japanese and Jordan Schartner in English version.
History[]
An officer under Haman Karn, Glemy Toto is rumored to be a descendant of the Zabi family. He is instrumental in utilizing Elpeo Ple and Ple Two's Newtype abilities in battle. His humble beginnings as a pilot under Mashima Cello are quickly over shadowed by his rise to power, and eventual betrayal of Haman for his vision of restoring the Zabi family. Along the way, Glemy also falls in love with A.E.U.G. pilot Roux Louka.
After Ple defected to the AEUG out of her bond with Judau, Glemy had her replaced by an identical clone he made of her called "Ple Two". Unbeknownst to Haman, Glemy was secretly growing an army of clones of Ple behind her and the rest of the Neo Zeon high command's back. After rising to a high-ranking position within Neo Zeon, at the peak of Neo Zeon's victory against the Earth Federation, Glemy revealed his heritage to the Zabi Family and launched a coup against Haman to restore the Zabis to power with himself at the head. Glemy's rebellion triggered a devastating split in Neo Zeon, with many prominent Neo Zeon officers going over to join him including, most notably, Neo Zeon's ace mobile suit pilot Rakan Dahkaran.
However, Glemy's coup also provided an opportunity for the Earth Federation and AEUG to launch a joint strike against Neo Zeon, triggering a three-way battle between Neo Zeon, the EFF-AEUG coalition and the Glemy Faction. He was later incinerated by Roux via beam rifle during their final confrontation, with him accepting that his fate ended on her hand. Despite his death and Ple Two's defection, the remains of Glemy Faction and the rest Ple Clones keep fight on First Neo-Zeon war until the end.
He also make cameo on grow-up Marida Cruz/Ple Twelve vision in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
