Ethan Roark Jr., or simply Junior, is a major antagonist in Sin City. Son of Senator Roark and nephew of Cardinal Roark, Junior is a sadistic psychopath who rapes and murders prepubescent girls. His father used his extensive wealth and connections to let him get away with these atrocities until an encounter with John Harrtigan left him disfigured and maimed, the resulting surgeries to repair his body turning him into a hideous, foul smelling man with bright yellow skin.
In the movie, he was portrayed by Nick Stahl, who also played Peter Harrison in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Jason Riley in Fear The Walking Dead.
Biography[]
The Yellow Bastard[]
Roark Jr., before he became the Yellow Bastard.
The story begins with Roark Junior seizing his fourth intended victim, 11-year-old Nancy Callahan. Detective John Hartigan, the saint of the story and the as it were great cop in Sin City, seeks after Junior, massacres his minions, spares Nancy, and shoots off Junior's ear, hand and private parts. In any case, Hartigan's accomplice Bob, who is on Senator Roark's finance, turns on Hartigan and seriously wounds him. Senator Roark outlines Hartigan for Junior's wrongdoings, and threatens to murder his cherished ones on the off chance that he ever tells anybody the truth.
In the interim, Junior experiences broad reconstructive surgeries to repair his body, but as a side effect, he gets to be frightfully twisted, with shinning yellow skin. He proceeds his slaughtering spree, killing upwards of 100 young ladies over the another eight a long time. After they begin driving away, the Yellow Bastard appears in a car behind them and tries to shoot them. Hartigan shoots back and hits the reprobate within the neck, causing him to spurt yellow blood. There, the Yellow Bastard ambushes them, ties up Hartigan with a noose, and at long last uncovers that he is in reality Roark Junior, and is now getting to at long last assault Nancy after all these a long time, and clears out Hartigan to hang to passing. Personality[]
Ethan Roark Jr. is a depraved, psychopathic pedophile, taking pleasure in raping, torturing and murdering little girls. He took pride in being the son of Senator Roark, willingly and proudly using his power and leverage over the BCPD and judicial system to commit crimes with total impunity; he was also prideful of his killings and proudly told Hartigan that he killed dozens more while Hartigan was in custody, feeling no remorse whatsoever.
Even though he is protected by corrupt cops, he seems to dislike police in general, as evidenced by how he calls Hartigan a "piece of s--t cop". Thus, he doesn't really have consideration for anyone, even hating his father despite owing his life and his surgery to him, proving that he was always self-centered and ungrateful.
After his transformation, Roark Jr. becomes even more unhinged, seeking to torture and murder both Nancy and Hartigan as payback for his humiliation and horrific transformation. His sadism considerably worsened, to the point that he couldn't get an erection if his victim wasn't screaming. He confirmed that he was a pedophile, saying that Callahan was a "little too old for [his] taste", though he was still willing to torture, rape, and eventually murder her as his hatred for her, being the first (and perhaps only) victim who escaped from his grasp, was stronger. However, he wanted to first kill Hartigan in front of Callahan so that she would truly succumb to despair.
Roark Jr. is also a coward, uttering the name of his father in the hope of deterring Hartigan, and later using dirty tricks to get and capture both Hartigan and Callahan. However, his lust for vengeance ultimately led to his defeat and gruesome death, as he took time to torment Hartigan instead of killing him right away.
Appearance[]
In both his comic and film appearances Roark Jr was originally a handsome young man in his mid twenties with long hair and an expensive fashion taste. Following his first encounter with Hartigan however Roark had his ear, hands and genitals shot off, leaving him disfigured. The various surgeries given to Junior over the next eight years to regenerate his destroyed body parts took a toll on the rest of his body, making him lose his hair, leaving his features where enlarged and deformed and most notably turning his skin and blood bright yellow.

Trivia[]
- He's one of the two confirmed pedophiles of the series, along with the unnamed Dominatrix killed by Marv in Silent Night (though the Dominatrix likely didn't partake in the rape of her victim, instead offering her to fellow pedophiles, while Roark Jr. directly raped little girls).
