“ | I will tell you something, to take with you. Your wife was far sweeter forced than many are willing. And truth put to it, I think not all of her objected... | „ |
~ Archibald Cunningham gloating about raping Rob Roy's wife. |
“ | You wanna call it rape, call it rape. She wanted me. Me. She was practically begging me to f-ck her. If that's rape, then every girl at this school wants to be raped. | „ |

Rapists are villains who have committed rape or attempted to do so. Rape is the crime of having intercourse with someone without given consent, forcing someone to engage in any type of sexual behavior they don't want to do, and/or are disabled, or too young to consent. Even a single instance of it is regarded as a very heinous crime as well as an instant Moral Event Horizon-crossing in most cases. This category can also apply to villains who have had others raped or were complicit in the crime, even if they haven't committed the act themselves, such as most human traffickers or snuff filmers, as well as those who aid in or enable it, and/or commit rape by proxy (e.g. AM, Vladimir Makarov, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and Tywin Lannister).
These villains are regarded by many, sometimes, even amongst other villains, as some of the most disgusting, abhorrent, and repulsive, as rape is regarded as often one of the worst forms of torture, especially if inflicted to children. However, while rape is always a serious crime, the gravity of the act depends on the age of the victim, as well as the injuries inflicted, and the duration of the rape as a whole; knowing that, to make matters worse, a handful of rapists murder their victims afterwards (this is commonly the case of thrill-killers), an act most commonly done to silence victims of letting their rape be reported to law enforcement/the public. In other cases, however, rapists are also often associated with slavery and blackmail, as they will do anything in their power to keep the victim from leaving, to prevent the rapist's act being reported. It is usually done to assert power and control over a victim, and can make them feel like they don't have control over their body, life, or romance anymore. That's why rapists are psychologically abusive as well as physically, and can drive their victims crazy and even make them feel guilty. It is not necessarily done due to sexism (i.e. misogyny, misandry, and/or transphobia), racism, or any other form of hate, but it is sometimes, if not, often done for those reasons. A rapist can commit the act out of pure jealousy too, most often done after the fact, that, a perpetrator was not able to make a victim theirs beforehand. However, to make matters more disturbing, some of these villains can commit this vile act on non-sapient animals as well (often an act associated with zoophiles/zoosadists).
While lust is often a common motivation for this despicable crime, note that not all rapists fall under perverts, as some may commit the act merely out of sadism or hatred alone without any kind of sexual desire towards the victim, such as Bogs Diamond, Monty de la Cruz, and William Lewis, or to have revenge on, or display dominance over others. In these cases, it will make the rapist even more contemptible than they already are. Some rapists however, such as Two-Toed Tom, do it as an abhorrent form of "fun", or simply just enjoy having others raped, without committing the act themselves. Due to their nature, rapists are often Chaotic Evil, but some may be Neutral Evil, or even Lawful Evil (i.e. SCP Foundation and Valentino).
Important
Rape is intercourse, or any sexual act performed against another against their will, by aggressive means or deception, such as drugs. This is an important thing to remember to differ it from molestation or sexual harassment, which is when a pervert acts inappropriately with or touches another, and makes them uncomfortable. Therefore, mere perverts do not count unless they force someone to appease them in an aggressive manner.
Harassment and molestation does not become rape until aforementioned violence or deception is involved. Thus, not all harassers or molesters are rapists (though a great many of them inevitably are, or become so in time). However, those who are known (e.g. Edward Alderson, and Skip Westcott) or are heavily implied to be sexual abusers (e.g. Isabella Caruso, and Ji-yeong's Father) can still be classified as rapists, even if the specifics of the abuse are not entirely known.
A rape threat does not automatically warrant this category. If the villain only makes a rape threat WITHOUT going through with the act (i.e. Blitzo Buckzo, and Mike Toreno), then they DO NOT qualify. Otherwise, they do.
