Jūra is the main antagonist of the 2016 manga series Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. He is the direct incarnation of the Ten-Tails that was originally owned by Code and becomes the leader of a team consisting of those that have been transformed into God Trees like him.
Biography[]
At some point in time after one of the Ten-Tails clones attack an individual to make them into a tree and Code was kept the Ten-Tails sealed down with his technique, the Ten-Tails itself suddenly disappeared when the son of the Seventh Hokage, Boruto Uzumaki, appeared in the same time-space as Code. Up above Code and Boruto, Jūra appears where he explains to them that he is an evolved form of the God Tree with self-awareness of themselves. He thanks Code for awakening self-awareness within the God Trees. As Hidari and Mamushi attacks Code and Boruto, Jūra and Matsuri observe the fight. As Code escapes from the God Trees and Boruto, Jūra tells Boruto that the God Trees and himself are overflowing with curiosity and knowledge that they are not concerned with their instinctual need to devour Boruto. Boruto eventually escapes from the God Trees.
Jūra appears with the other God Trees where he has a conversation about their self-awareness as God Trees and their goal of devouring Boruto and Kawaki. He shares that he is interested in devouring Naruto Uzumaki. During the conversation, Jūra speaks to the other God Trees and tells them that their instinct will reveal what is important to them.
Jūra and Hidari appear from a Ten-Tails clones body and walks into the Hidden Leaf Village which trigger's Ino's alert to Shikamaru. Jūra and Hidari walks into the village in search of finding Naruto Uzumaki. As they are casually walking through the village, a group of Leaf Ninjas tells them to stop where they are at, but Jūra summons a tree to kill a group of them. After killing the men, Jūra and Hidari walk into a bookstore. Jūra is interested in the amount of information that is contained in the books at the bookstore. Kawaki and Delta appear and Kawaki attacks Hidari. Jūra tells Kawaki to not fight in front of the bookstore as it might damage his treasure trove. Jūra fights Kawaki and tells him that he will not kill him yet. Jūra manages to deliver two powerful strikes to Kawaki that knocks him out. As Jūra and Hidari are looking for Naruto Uzumaki they encounter another group of Leaf ninjas such as Himawari Uzumaki, Chocho Akimichi, Shikadai Nara, and Inojin Yamanaka. Jūra is confused at the sight of Himawari mistaking her for Naruto.
Jūra senses a Tailed Beast inside Himawari and is somewhat confused. When questioned by Shikadai about his intentions, Jūra pulls a book, analyzing the boy as the current Hokage son. After learning that Naruto is no longer around, he wonders why is he sensing Kurama's chakra from Himawari. Shikadai demands an explaination but Jūra doesn't know either as he finds this world is fascinating. He then proceeds to trap Himawari in a tree only for Team 10 to rescue her, to which Jūra commends their teamwork, he goes on to specify that their target is Himawari only and not Team 10. Shikadai again asks Jūra that he was following Naruto's trail but why switch to Himawari, Jūra tells him that trail he followed is Nine-Tails and it just happens to be with Himawari. He then declares that he will be devouring Himawari much to her confusion. Inojin then draws a bird to escape with Himawari, meanwhile Shikadai restrains Jūra, only for Jūra to shoot a Tailed Beast Bomb from his Rinnegan eye, but Chocho expands her arm and diverts the attack. After Inojin picks up both Shikadai and Chocho with his bird, Jūra notices their escape, and Hidari questions Jūra if that's okay, only for Jūra to respond that his only target is Himawari. Jūra notes that Team 10 must know they can't outrun them and deduces that they are probably heading far away from Konoha to reduce the damage.
After Konohamaru arrives with few Jonin to attempt to stop them Hidari wonders why they are stopping them, and Jūra tells him to question them as he is going to head after Himawari. As Team 10 along with Himawari escape with the bird, Jūra closes on them quickly, he then charges another Tailed Beast Bomb from his eyes to damage the bird wings, as it falls to the ground, Chocho saves all of them. Which Jūra once again complements Team 10 teamwork and its a shame he will have to kill them. As Jūra closes on them, Himawari charges at Jūra only for him to twist her legs, Inojin tries to attack him with a scroll drawing but he uses Wood Release to disperse of it. Jūra then proceeds to trap Himawari in a tree but then Inojin angrily attacks Jūra, but he is simply no match for him as he kicks Inojin. Himawari pleads to leave them alone, which Jūra agrees to and wonders why they won't stop. Inojin then tells Jūra to let go of Himawari, but Jūra stabs Inojin through the gut with his Wood Release, as Himawari sees this, her hair flares upwards and she breaks free of the tree to everyone surprise, as Himawari taps into Kurama's power with her leg healed and her appearance changed she angrily tells Jūra to stop.
