Barbatos is a minor antagonist in Dragalia Lost. He is the dragon who Aldred was forcefully fused with by The Syndicate, and serves as the welfare dragon for the "Scars of the Syndicate" event. His role is minor, only appearing in the final scene of the event, but he serves antagonistic in said scene nonetheless.
Appearance[]
Barbatos resembles a giant long-horned, red and black dragon. He has two big rings around one horn and a little ring on the other.
Biography[]
Dragon Story[]
Barbatos and his friend Pruflas were extremely close to the point where they saw eachother as equals. Barbatos cares deeply for Pruflas and used his powers to protect him.
One day, a man from the Syndicate approached Barbatos who offered to make him superior to Pruflas. Offended, Barbatos shooed the human away with the threat of killing him, and he was confident that Pruflas would do the same.
However, when Barbatos couldn't find Pruflas, he began to wonder if Pruflas actually took up the human's offer. Eventually, the human returned with Pruflas now fused with many different monsters.
Barbatos struck the abomination once, hoping to save his friend, only for that single blow to be enough to kill Pruflas. The human shrugged it off and left as Pruflas gave Barbatos his dying words.
Angered, Barbatos swore vengeance against the Syndicate and humans as a whole.
Scars of the Syndicate[]
Somewhere down the line, Barbatos was captured by the syndicate and fused with a boy named Aldred. Due to the Syndicate's actions, Aldred develop a hatred for the Syndicate as well and used Barbatos' power against them to avenge his family. However, he loses control every time he shapeshifts.
After Aldred defeats and kills The Doctor, Barbatos seemingly manages to take full control and regain all of his power. Finally free of Aldred, he prepares to wipe out the Halidom party. However, rather than fight Barbatos, they shout for Aldred to keep fighting from within. Aldred manages to overcome Barbatos and suppress him once more.
