Biography[]
300 years after the war between the San Francisco Ape Colony and the Alpha-Omega, several ape clans emerged from the Oasis. During this time, an evolved ape began to gather fanatically loyalists by twisting the teachings of Caesar and making it seem like as if he knew much more about the latter up close than anyone else. Soon after, Proximus desired to expand his territory by ordering his army, led by Sylva, into raiding settlements, rounding up new recruits for their army, and capturing apes, either bringing them to the ape city as citizens, or putting them to work at the dig site, where they forced apes to work together to open the Human Vault. It's also assumed they hunted down human survivors for sport.
At one point, Sylva and his men attacked a human settlement, massacring most of the survivors, including Mae's mother, and imprisoning Trevathan in prison due to his intelligence. From then onward, Proximus began studying Roman history from Trevathan, making him his human advisor.
At another point, they also attacked Noa's village and captured his clan before killing his father, Oda member of Eagle Clan kills many scouts of Sylva but he is killed by Lightning Sylva's second in command and third in command of Proximus's followers, and attacking Raka, one of the last of the elders who believed in Caesar's legacy.
After Noa and Mae are captured and brought to the kingdom, Proximus Caesar has several of guards open the gate once more with explosives piled on top, despite his effort to motive them, they all end up getting caught in the act as the chains either killed or injured them. Afterwards, Proximus ordered his subjects to try again tomorrow.
After inviting Noa for dinner with Mae and Trevathan, he finds himself impressed with the young ape's journey to his kingdom with Mae, and later explains his desires of descending into "evolution".
At morning, he confronts Noa, Mae, Soona, and Anaya upon opening the vault's gate with Noa's mother taken captive, impressed by their witty scheme of entering the vault and being amazed by the military tanks at hindsight. Mae uses her gun to save Soona from harm and kill Lightning, forcing Proximus to allow her to leave before the dam blew up, flooding the dig site, and forcing Proximus and his army into the water. Many or all Proximus's followers die drowned, Noa traps Sylva in the vault where he dies drowned. Revealing to have survived the assault, Proximus viciously beats Noa in front of his clan, angry at the ape for trying to take his power as king away.
Noa, however, musters the energy to sing his tribe's eagle calling, having said eagles peck Proximus brutally, making him fall to his death into the ocean. With his death, Noa, Eagle Clan, and the other enslaved ape clans were freed, and returned to their homes.
