The Ring Dash[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by those in the Green Hover form that allows them to dash along a trail of Rings.

Description[]

The Ring Dash is very similar to the Light Speed Dash, except it is much slower, can be used on even vertical trails of Rings and requires the Green Hover. When using it, the Green Hover automatically moves along a trail of Rings without interruption though midair while picking up the Rings, until it reaches the end of the trail.

In gameplay, the Ring Dash can be used on a trail of Rings of any length, though this also brings up the risk of using the Ring Dash on another nearby trail instead of the indented one. Should there be a break in the Ring trails, the Green Hover will stop when it reaches that break point. Also, while using the Ring Dash, the Green Hover's Wisp Gauge stops depleting and the player becomes invulnerable to all harm.
