Zawadi is a character from the Disney's Animal Kingdom attraction, Festival of the Lion King.
Background[]
Nicknamed "Mother Nature", Zawadi is an African woman part of a traveling theater troupe along with the other emcees, Kiume, Kibibi, and Nakawa. Throughout the show, she would sing gospel mezzo-soprano. She and the other emcees became affiliated with Simba throughout the show called "Festival of the Lion King".
Development[]
The Festival of the Lion King attraction opened at the former Camp Minnie-Mickey area in 1998 featuring Zawadi and the other performers. Over the years, the show became successful for many years before Camp Mickey-Minnie closed down in 2014 to make way for Pandora: The World of Avatar, which later opened in 2017, resulting the show to be moved to Harambe Theater in Africa, still featuring Zawadi and the other emcees performing within the facility.

Festival of the Lion King[]
Zawadi is one of the four emcees who hosts the show, often leading the audience in the warthog section, next to Pumbaa who in fact is a warthog. She would often perform on stage singing songs such as "Circle of Life" throughout the act while other performers dance along just as she sings throughout the show just before the sequence loops to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight".
