
Timon and Pumbaa's Wild About Safety, Also known as Safety Smart, is an educational series that features eight short films that were produced by Disney Educational Productions and Underwriters Laboratories.
Together with Timon (voiced by Bruce Lanoil) and Pumbaa (voiced by Ernie Sabella), students will learn a variety of safety lessons for around the house, for the environment, and for in the water that will help themselves and others avoid injuries, live problem-free, and be Safety Smart. At the end of each episode, Timon and Pumbaa sing a musical number reviewing all that they learned on the episode in question.

Simba and Sarabi's cameo.
- In Safety Smart: In the Water, Pumbaa makes a brief reference to Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Also in the episode, a floaty of Donald Duck is seen.
- In Safety Smart: Goes Green, baby Simba and Sarabi make a cameo, in which Timon misunderstands a CFL light bulb as a "cute fluffy lion." Then, an angry Sarabi comes to get back her son.
- In Safety Smart: Online, the ostrich librarian that constantly shushes Timon and Pumbaa during the library sequence resembles Madame Upanova from Fantasia.
