Señorita Cactus was a character that was created for Disney•Pixar's 1999 animated film Toy Story 2. At one point, she was going to be the third member of the Woody's Roundup gang but was eventually replaced with Jessie.
Appearances[]
Toy Story 2[]
In the early version of the film just like Stinky Pete, Señorita Cactus did not like children and wished to be kept on display rather than being played with. When Woody was first brought to Al's apartment, she and The Prospector convinced him that being a collectible was a good thing by showing him how much he was worth in a toy catalogue.
A few days later when Buzz showed up to rescue Woody, Señorita Cactus scoffed at him after looking him up and finding he wasn't ever in the catalog. When Buzz took Woody up to the roof through the skylight, she and Stinky Pete followed and both of them threatened to leave when his hat blew off and landed on a flagpole because he was worth almost nothing without it.
When Al was preparing to leave for the airport, Woody's friends hijacked his car. Señorita Cactus broke out of her box alongside Stinky Pete and made her way to the front seat where she fought Mr. Potato Head with a tire pressure gauge, knocking his nose off. Shortly thereafter, Woody climbed onto the roof and she and Stinky Pete followed with a cigarette lighter, intending to burn him so that no kid would want to play with him. Their attempt was thwarted by Bullseye who kicked them onto the street where they were soon picked up by two boys on bikes.
Despite being deleted from the final film, she can be seen in numerous "Señorita Cactus" boxes that can be seen within Al's Toy Barn in the final version of the film.
Toy Story That Time Forgot[]
A Señorita Cactus box can be seen in the background during the part where Woody, Buzz, Rex, and Trixie arrive at Mason's house and follow a Dino-Hound toy to the Battlesaurs area.
Toy Story 4[]
Señorita Cactus made a cameo appearance in Toy Story 4 when Woody and Bo Peep enter the Tiki Frenzy pinball machine in search of Duke Caboom. This makes it the first time the character appears in a physical manner in a Pixar film.
Trivia[]
- "Señorita" means "Miss" in Spanish. This means her name in English is "Miss Cactus".
