You Will Know Our Names (originally unofficially referred to as Those Who Bear Their Name) is Disc 4, Track 9 on the Xenoblade Original Soundtrack and Track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles Special Soundtrack. It plays during fights against unique monsters. It also plays in certain cutscenes, where it then acts as the battle music to the subsequent fight:
- The scene on Prison Island when Shulk obtains the Monado II and then fights Metal Face
- The scene at Agniratha when Meyneth declares a plan to free Gadolt from Egil's mind control
- The battle at Colony 6 when Shulk arrives to help against the invading Telethia
- The scene on Prison Island when the party regroups in the middle of the fight against Dickson
As part of a promotional video for Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, this track was rearranged by Tomori Kudo.
The piece was performed on both day 1 and day 2 of Nintendo Game Music Live!, a series of performances of Nintendo music by rock band and big band as part of the Nintendo Switch Experience event on 14/15 January 2017. In both performances, the piece was given a substantially different structure, including entirely new sections.

You Will Know Our Names (Definitive Edition ver.) is Track 7 on the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Sound Selection and Disc 3, Track 10 on the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Original Soundtrack and the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. It is a rerecording of the original with slightly altered balance, mixing, and orchestration, and added accompaniment lines such as brass notes around 1:46.
It plays in the same situations as the original, including unique monsters in Future Connected.
In other Xenoblade games[edit]
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the original version of You Will Know Our Names plays during battles against unique monsters if the DLC-exclusive Blades Shulk or Fiora are in the active party. However, if Elma is also in the active party, Uncontrollable will play instead unless Elma is linked to a secondary party member and Shulk or Fiora is bound to the primary party member.
A different track in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, You Will Recall Our Names, was named after You Will Know Our Names. Likewise, a track in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, You Will Know Our Names - Finale, was also named after this track. Both fill the same purpose — they are a battle theme for unique monsters and, in the former's case, select story bosses.
Dialogue in-universe makes reference to these tracks:
- In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the Nopon Archsage references a situation where "10-ton gorilla with fancy name appear from nowhere and start playing electric guitar", which references Territorial Rotbart as well as You Will Know/Recall Our Names' opening instrument.
- In Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, A may say "We will know its name for certain" when the player targets a unique monster.

The original version of You Will Know Our Names is one of the music tracks in both Super Smash Bros. 4 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, available on the Gaur Plain and (in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate) the Cloud Sea of Alrest stages. It also forms the basis of Shulk's victory theme.
Sections of the piece were also included in the Xenoblade Chronicles Medley.
Tetris 99[edit]
In Tetris 99, if the player uses the Definitive Edition themed skin, the Definitive Edition rearranged version of You Will Know Our Names plays as the background music in-game when there are 10 or fewer players remaining.
Project X Zone 2[edit]
Chapter 6 of Project X Zone 2, 'You Will Know Our Names', was named after this track. A remix of the piece was also made for this game, and plays at several points in the chapter, chiefly as the background music in standard gameplay sequences.
