The Nopon Archsage is a character in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. He is the Land of Challenge's overseer and creator, wishing to witness the party overcoming challenges of great difficulty for his own personal enjoyment.

Lore[edit]

• He became an archsage "through endless training in many times and places".
• One of his dreams was to see Shulk, Elma and Rex meet.
  • He wrote many stories about this happening, which he posted to Argentum's notice board.
• He claims to have spent "thousand of years" finding an Alrest Linkring.
  • He also claims to have spent "two thousand years" finding the Alrest Link Relay.
• He is able to alter the flow of time in the Land of Challenge.

• The Nopon Archsage makes a reference to Territorial Rotbart's habit of taking players by surprise during the dialogue that happens after clearing Otherworldly Fighter: "Friend sound startled like 10-ton gorilla with fancy name appear from nowhere and start playing electric guitar."
