He is voiced by Alex Walker Smith.
Biography[]
Luigi's Lament[]
According to his song, Luigi was a lonely plumber who lived on his own in a mansion. He was mistreated by practically everyone around him, being mocked by Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Waluigi, viewing him as a fool. Everyone abandoned him, including his girlfriend Daisy who left him for Yoshi.
Growing tired of being ignored, Luigi would make a deal with Bowser, agreeing to capture Mario, Peach, Yoshi, and Toad inside his mansion. To Luigi's surprise, however, this deal quickly turned south. Bowser would begin torturing his friends, enslaving them and using them for his villainous deeds. Luigi soon begin to realize he made a big mistake, watching as Bowser destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom. Sometime afterward, Bowser would also imprison Luigi and use him as a source of entertainment.
Luigi's Lament 2: LUIGI'S REVENGE[]
Luigi was being held prisoner inside of Bowser's airship for what seemed to be a long time, only being left with a guitar. However, at some point, Luigi would hatch a plan with Mario, Peach, and Yoshi to free themselves and defeat Bowser. After taking some mushrooms he had stored in his prison cell, Luigi broke out and killed the guards.
Soon, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi would begin killing all of the guards on the ship, and find Mario who had a map on his back, showing him the directions to Bowser. Luigi would continue killing anyone who stood in his way until he found Bowser. He would immediately attack Bowser and crashed his ship into his castle, defeating the Koopa King.
However, Luigi wasn't done. Luigi would kill the rest of Bowser's family and imprison him, torturing him repeatedly by hanging him in a well, pasting pictures of his family that had already perished to torture him even more. Luigi would then begin killing innocent people in the Koopa Kingdom, putting their heads on sticks, going completely off the deep end. Even his own friends who had helped him seemed terrified of what he had become.
Luigi's Lament 3: BRING BOWSER BACK[]
Two years after overthrowing Bowser, Luigi began missing the old days. So, he began plan to bring back Bowser. Assembling his old friends, they managed to pull Bowser out the well Luigi put him in. Unfortunately, Bowser died because he was left in the well with no food of water for two years, now nothing more than a decaying skeleton. Luigi then decided to bring him back to life using a pig heart, mushrooms, and lit his skull on fire. Using electricity, they managed to revive Bowser, but as a giant, destructive Kaiju. As Luigi watched in horror at the outcome of his actions, he noticed his friends glaring at him, possibly preparing to beat him up.
Personality[]
Luigi originally felt incredibly lonely, feeling incredibly disrespected by his own friends and genuinely believed they only cared about him for his own jump and that truthfully, they viewed him as clumsy. He also appears to feel greatly overshadowed by his brother, Mario, who seemingly was much more recognized and praised by people than him, putting pressure on Luigi. Luigi's loneliness would drive him into making a deal with the evil Koopa King, Bowser to scare them, which would backfire and ruin things even more.
After Luigi's plan had backfired, Luigi would begin to feel regret for what he had done, feeling even more lonely than before with his friends now being imprisoned and enslaved by Bowser, feeling responsible for everything that had happened to them. Deep down, he realized that he should have never turned his back on his friends, realizing their views on him had probably forever changed.
After spending a lot of time in prison and consuming multiple mushrooms, Luigi would completely snap. Now, Luigi was a murderous individual hellbent on revenge, killing anyone who stood in his way. After defeating Bowser, Luigi would keep him alive in order just to torture him for pleasure, killing the rest of his family and tortured him every time he'd beg Luigi to kill him. Luigi would continue killing even more people only to torture the fallen koopa king even more. Revenge at this point had completely poisoned Luigi's mind, being the only thing he could ever think about. At this point, Luigi had become a shell of his former-self, and arguably even worse than Bowser.

Trivia[]
- Ironically, by the end of Luigi's Lament 2, Luigi became somewhat of a darker reflection of Bowser at the end of the first installment. Where Bowser terrorized and destroyed the Mushroom Kingdom, Luigi had begun to terrorize the Koopa Kingdom and killed countless of its civilians. Where Bowser had Luigi imprisoned to use him for his own entertainment, Luigi had imprisoned Bowser in order to torture him.
