Bowser Koopa is the overarching antagonist of the Mashed series, Dial L For Luigi.
He was a crime lord who ran his own criminal empire until Toad sold out all of his other underworld businesses. He is the one who sold somebody the blue shells that would be used to poison Luigi with, making him indirectly responsible for the events of the series.
He was voiced by Steven Kelly.
Biography[]
Not too much is known about Bowser's past, but is known that he was a crime lord who focused his entire criminal empire on kidnapping Peach over and over again and at some point, he would have both Mario and Toad work for him.
At some point, Toad would overthrow Bowser after gaining access to a shell company and buy out all of Bowser's legitimate businesses, undercut all of his underworld deals, leaving Bowser in debt. This would lead to Bowser hanging at the docks.
After Luigi and Peach enter P.I.E.R. 7, Bowser knocks down the princess and confronts Luigi. Luigi immediately accuses Bowser of poisoning him, in which he denies. However, Bowser does admit that he did indeed sell the shells. When Luigi questions who he did sell them to, Bowser refuses to give an answer, leading to Luigi shooting the koopa in the leg. Luigi demands answers again, in which Bowser reluctantly agrees. However, before he can answer, Bowser is shot dead by Mario by accident.
Personality[]
Bowser is a calm individual who presents himself as somewhat affable, though this does seem to be a bit of a facade for his true nature, being completely fine with committing all sorts of criminal deeds such as selling dangerous items like blue shells. It is even suggested that he may have brutally killed multiple people in the past, considering he states he prefers throwing people into lava or impaling them on his spikes. That being said, he doesn't really seem to fancy the idea of poisoning people, mainly due to it just not being his style.
Despite being mostly calm, Bowser does begin to show signs of aggression after Luigi begins to question him, mockingly asking him if he wants to know his mother's maiden name or his banking password, making it pretty clear he began to find him rather annoying. When Luigi tries to intimidate the crime lord by putting his thumb into his gunshot wound, only to then pull out due to disliking how it felt, Bowser continues to mock him by questioning him on whether or not this was his first time intimidating anybody.
Bowser also appears to begin rambling and become obsessed about different subjects quite often, such as proper gender terms or biological species names. It is also pretty apparent that he is incredibly obsessed with Princess Peach, making a majority of his crime business centered around kidnapping her, at least according to Toad.
Appearance[]
Bowser is a large turtle with yellow skin, red hair, a set of horns, and a green face with a tan mouth. His teeth are incredibly sharp and he has a green shell with spikes coming out of it. He wears a black fedora with a red bad on it, and a dark red and purple suit with a green shirt underneath, also having a red tie. He appears to have spiked cuffs around his wrists, and he appears to be wearing purple gloves. He is never seen without a cigar in his mouth.
