The Jelly Monster is the main antagonist of "The Last Thanksgiving", a segment from the Simpsons Thanksgiving Special "Thanksgiving of Horror".
After Earth was destroyed, the children opted to make a Thanksgiving dinner so they would have some work to do before arriving on a new planet. Bart has the idea of replicating a can of cranberry sauce to share it with the other children, only for it to come to life and cause mayhem inside the spaceship, killing many people inside several rooms by eating their bones, until it was sent outer space by Lisa, Milhouse and Bart with a large trash can, but not before pulling off a part of the ship out, causing the ship to crash on the new planet they were planned to land, finally completing their goal. However, the jelly reformed itself on the planet and nearly attacked the spaceship crew, only for a group of natives to have it served on their bowls, using it as food.
Appearance[]
As it's name suggests, the Jelly Monster is simply a bright red slime that grows into larger proportions the more human bones it consumes.
Biography[]
On a spaceship travelling to a new planet, Bart plans to celebrate Thanksgiving day with a feast, as the crew is tired from always doing work for the spaceship. They suggest Bart a turkey to eat, but he thinks of a better idea. Searching around, he finds a can of cranberry sauce. Thinking it would better than a turkey, he decides to have it served for the crew, but Milhouse tells him that won't be enough for everyone, as there is only one can.
They soon find a replicating machine and decide to put the sauce there to have it replicated. However, before he could start the machine up, Professor Frink warns Bart that the machine is only meant to replicate in-organics and that it would cause serious consequences if something biological was used. Bart ignores it and activates the machine, but it malfunctions, making Bart disappointed. However, the jelly was now alive, crawling out of the machine. Milhouse then compliments how it is a cute little jelly, but as he was about to touch it with his finger, the jelly starts pulling his arm and sucks the bones out of it, making it flat. Terrified by this, Bart and Milhouse run away as fast as they can, alerting both Nelson and Lisa in the process.
While Bart and Milhouse were talking to them about the rampage, the jelly was then seen crawling inside the vents. Suddenly, it grabs Nelson and sucks all of his bones out of his body, killing him instantly as it goes back inside the vents. Lisa finally realizes why the jelly consumes the bones of every human in its path, as it is made of gelatin, which means it can't eat human skin, only bones. At this point, Lisa and Bart fear what is going to happen next. In the cafeteria, during Thanksgiving, the children were sharing a turkey, only for Bart, Lisa, and Milhouse to bang on the door in an attempt to alert them and escape the blob. However, they are too distracted with the turkey to hear them.
The jelly then exits the vents and sticks itself on it for a few seconds, before dropping on the children, causing a massive carnage as the bones of everyone inside are consumed by the blob, killing them all as they are reduced to nothing but flesh. Bart, Lisa and Milhouse then hide inside a closet, panting as the jelly almost saw them. Suddenly, a knock is heard on the door. Fearing it is the blob coming for them, Bart prepares to fire with his slingshot, but as it turns out, it was Martin who wanted to tell them that he found an escape pod they could use to get out of the ship. However, Martin was leading the trio to a large container with the large jelly monster inside, betraying them in the process. As the blob creeps towards him, he shows admiration for it, claiming it as the "perfect organism" and planning to merge himself with it. Martin's bones are then consumed as his flesh is thrown into a wall.
Milhouse then thinks the jelly is simply scared and attempts to comfort it, but as it is still hostile, it flings Milhouse around. Bart and Lisa then plan to send the blob in outer space by sending the large container it used to be inside while it is distracted. The blob notices this and screams in fear, but as he was attempting to stop them, it lands inside the container and is then sent to outer space, only for it to grab into the ship, ripping out a chunk of it that severely damages the ship, causing it to crash on their destination. Everybody managed to get out alive, but red rain started to splash on the ground, reforming the blob again. Luckily, they are saved when a group of native aliens make it split into several chunks of itself, which are now used as food to consume, finally allowing Thanksgiving to be celebrated.
