Gene is a Zeon Mobile Suit pilot and a minor antagonist in Mobile Suit Gundam. He is notable for being one of the first antagonists to appear in the series.
He was voiced by the late Kazuyuki Sogabe.
History[]
Gene was a mobile suit pilot in Char Aznable's forces. He was part of a three man squadron led by Denim that was sent on a recon mission to Side 7 to investigate the Earth Federation activity going on there.
Despite being ordered to stand down and not engage, Gene, eager for a fight, attacked the Earth Federation Forces stationed there, leading to a battle between Denim's squadron and the EFF.
During the attack, Amuro Ray gets into the RX-78-2 Gundam to pilot it against the attacking Zeon mobile suits. Gene initially tries to fight the Gundam, but upon realizing how powerful it is he attempts to flee. However, before Gene can get away, Amuro slices his mobile suit in two with the Gundam's beam saber, killing Gene.
