~ Ikaris to the other Eternals. |
Ikaris is the main antagonist in Eternals.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Unlike the other Eternals who know how wrong this is, Ikaris and Sprite seek to bring forth the ruthless deity Arishem the Judge's mundicide against Earth, which would kill billions of people. Made worse is that Ikaris has been keeping Earth's grisly fate a secret from the others, even his own wife, for hundreds of years.
- When Druig says the others will have to kill him before he lets the suffering of the Spanish continue, Ikaris almost does so before Ajak stops him just in time.
- He murders Ajak by throwing her to the Deviants.
- He fights against the other Eternals when they choose to help save humanity.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- Although his agenda to destroy Earth is a very heinous one, he fails the Heinous Standard to his creator Arishem the Judge, who committed multiple mundicides successfully with very comparable resources, hence preventing him from passing the Heinous Standard of the MCU. He also fails to Ajak for comparable reasons, and Ajak herself doesn't pass the heinous standard either.
- While it doesn't justify his actions, he is in no way intentionally an evil man, being a clear-cut extremist and antivillain who genuinely thinks that if Arishem believes Earth a worthy sacrifice, then he agrees with him.
- He is sympathetic to a degree since he feels like he failed Arishem and commits suicide out of genuine remorse for failing a deity.
- However, this is just a part of his delusions about humanity needing to be driven to extinction, so it's not too mitigating.
- He redeems himself by choosing at the last minute to assist in the Uni-Mind, even if he only did it because he still cares for Sersi.
- He is polite and affable to a degree.
- He sincerely cares for the other Eternals, only fighting them when he believed he was out of options. He is also sincerely loyal to Arishem the Judge.
Trivia[]
- He was slated as Inconsistently Heinous, but when it was brought up that he is outclassed by several villains with comparable resources, Ajak being one of them, he was added here.
