William Fisk is one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside Alexandra Reid and Murakami) of the 2015 Marvel TV series Daredevil. He was the abusive and alcoholic father of Wilson Fisk, and his cruelty towards him set the stage for the latter's transformation into a ruthless criminal.
He was portrayed by Domenick Lombardozzi.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He is a man with severe alcohol and anger problems, who has degraded, gaslit, and beaten his wife and son multiple times.
- He decided to run for the third district council of New York to earn respect of the people, and to finance it he decided to ask a criminal named Rigoletto for money to do it.
- He forced a very young Wilson Fisk to drink alcohol, so that he could "become a man."
- When he found out that Wilson was being bullied, he severely hit the bully who was bothering him, not out of protectiveness but out of an excuse to indulge his sadism towards children.
- When he was going to talk to Rigoletto and his wife tried to stop him, he hit her hard with his belt, punishing Wilson in advance.
- While his death was brutal, he 100% deserved it and it is played for satisfaction.
- Although it seemed like he wanted to teach his son how to be a man, to become less corpulent and sensitive and more tough and decisive, making it sound like his reasoning for his misdeeds really is his desire to enrich his son in his own unique way, this is still nothing more than a delusion, and delusions are perfectly possessable by evildoers, especially because his teachings only ended up traumatizing him and he always made fun of Wilson for the perceived weakness he was obsessed with forcibly subverting in the first place. In the end, he was responsible for his son Wilson Fisk becoming the ruthless and wrathful crime lord that he is, leaving him with severe trauma when Bill forced Wilson to kill him.
- He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Although he passes the baseline by beating his wife to the point of almost dying from multiple injuries, all of his actions being based on abuse of his family and conspiring with thugs, his crimes amount to gaslighting, scheming with villains, and beating people up, which makes him fail the enormous heinous standard of the MCU to Arthur Walsh, who is a child molester with far less resources and screentime.
