Groth is a light green-skinned Bergen with black hair, beard and moustache, brown eyes, and several warts on his face and arms. He wears a formal suit consisting of a beige shirt, a reddish-brown vest, a dark blue jacket with golden lines near the end of the sleeves, greyish-blue pants and brown shoes.

Personality

Groth is a Bergen with very high standards. He has a large ego and often demands high of others. He is often used as a representative in storytelling as the voice of the Bergens themselves, and how resistant they can be to accept the new friendship with the Trolls. Groth makes it clear that if the Trolls and Bergens can't get along he is more than happy to ensure both species are at war once again. Groth acknowledges the position of King Gristle Jr., yet speaks as though above his authority.

His most redeeming factor is his ability to change his mind based on the actions of others, particularly when it comes to the Trolls. While he doesn't like to lower his standards he is impressed with the Trolls when they meet his.

Groth looks down upon the Trolls and picks faults in their ways. He often retracts his opinions on them after they impress him, but he doesn't seem to trust the friendship with the Trolls at all.

Groth acts like an upper class Bergen, having high standards among his people. He still burps after drinking punch. He's proud of the Bergen ways and is resistant to anything else, but accepting of change.

Groth is the leader of a Bergen Ball team, of which Nangus Skullcrusher, Buzby and Bernice are also members of.

Trivia

• In "Wormhole", he appears in place of Guy Diamond when the Trolls come across a dimension where Bergens and Trolls switch places. He is wearing a sparkling silver suit, and even recreates the autotune effect that Guy does with his vocals.
