Po Bidau Hugo

Po Bidau Hugo (포 비더 위고) is a High Ranker from the Po Bidau Family. She first appeared after Battle of The Last Station inside the Po Bidau Family Mothership when Po Bidau Gustang ordered his Treasure Eating Stingray to rescue Rachel and Ha Yura who were held captive by Zahard's Army inside the ship of Division Commander Ha Cheonhee.^[1]

This woman appeared again briefly in Part III when Gustang gave out an order to eliminate any Lo Po Bia Family members that intends to enter inside territories of Po Bidau Family.^[2] Later, Hugo was finally introduced as the Commander of Victor Battleship. She was sent to the outskirt territory of Po Bidau Family, where a remote village with codename "Rott" is located. However, Hugo apparently has no idea why she was dispatched there. She is unaware of the importance of the book which was said to contain Gustang's memory, that is hidden deep inside the village.^[3]

Appearances and Personality[]

She is an annoying, selfish woman with glamourish lifestyle. She likes to buy and collects expensive stuffs to satisfy her desires. She is very stands out, prideful and over-confident. She has a pink purple hair, wears black glasses, an office business suit fashion with high heels.

As shown, despite Hugo’s overconfidence and love of luxury, she does possess few redeeming qualities befitting of a High Ranker. This is shown where Hugo stated that while loving luxury goods, Hugo desires such objects to be of excellent quality and worthy of the immense price they have and disliked items that are cheaply made despite coming from high end brands, calling such items nothing more than expensive junk. Hugo has also shown to be quite intelligent and loyal to the army entrusted to her, as shown where she showed to be a competent military leader and commander when Lo Po Bia Lobadon’s army arrived at her outpost and quickly deduced that he likely had another goal coming to such a location in the middle of nowhere and that goal likely had something to do as to why she and her army was posted there in the first place.

Hugo was also noted to use various modern slang when talking.

And while enthusiastically anticipating Lobadon’s arrival to fight him to gain personal glory, Hugo heeded her second in command’s advice not to recklessly head into or be the first to initiate combat. With Hugo choosing to instead first position her forces defensively instead of going on offense, showing that Hugo did not underestimate her opponents army and despite her own cocky attitude, does not allow it to cloud her judgment as a military commander. With Lobadon noting that Hugo was not the type to needlessly waste the lives of her soldiers and would avoid as much causalities to her forces as possible in any situation.

Later, Hugo herself was more than wiilling to enter into battle herself and make the enemy’s forces focuse on her and buy time for her army to regroup.

Hugo is also shown to be loyal to her family’s head, following his orders without question. As shown where depsite finding her placement of being stationed in the middle of nowhere with seemingly no strategic value bizzare and a waste of her time, Hugo still does so out of loyalty despite it driving her insane with boredom. However, when given the opportunity, Hugo won’t hesitate to abandon her post to do something more exciting due to the afformentioned reasons. As shown where she begged Lobadon to take her “hostage” to escape her boring assignment and travel to the main battlefield between the Po Bidau and Lo Po Bia Families.

Hugo is a High Ranker, so she is very strong.

Shinsu Manipulation[]

Hugo has showcased to be a extremely powerful Wave Controller, having showcased to be able to manipulate and control Shinsu, formed multiple shinsu Baangs energy, and utilize it into several offensive forms.

Red Shinsu: Using her Black Needle with a Purple Guard, Hugo has shown to be able to create powerful blasts of red shinsu, surrounded by red diamond shapes. As shown, a single slash of this attack was powerful enough to obliterate the barracade shields of Lo Po Bia Lobadon’s Field Army that were strong enough to block attacks possessing the equivalent power of rankers.^[4]
- Transcendent Skill - Elusha: A powerful shinsu beam where Hugo creates and focuses her shinsu into a single red Baang surrounded by red diamond shapes in her hand. She would then fire the baang as a single powerful red beam.^[5]

Red-Orange Shinsu: Later, Hugo was able to create a powerful orange colored shinsu cross like strike large and powerful enough to obliterate one of Lobadon’s large transport army ships in one strike and required Lobadon’s himself to block.^[4]
Golden-Yellow Shinsu: Upon directly confronting Lobadon, Hugo showcased the ability to create golden-yellow Shinsu attacks shaped like capital letter G’s.^[4]
Pink-Magenta Shinsu: During her confrontation against Po Bidau Michel, Hugo showcased the ability to create pink-magenta shinsu blasts shaped like arrows.^[6]

Weapons[]

Arms Inventory: Like all High Rankers, Hugo possess a arms inventory with many different kinds of weapons.
- Black Needle: Hugo has shown to possess a black needle with a purple, oragami like guard that she uses to channel her Shinsu manipulation techniques.^[4]
- Elegant Destructor -Black Mandarin: A powerful Ignition Weapon stated by Hugo to have been made by the “most in-demand” Blacksmith in the Tower. As shown, Hugo is highly skilled in using this whip-like blade and igniting it was powerful enough to smash Lo Po Bia Lobadon’s defenses when ignited.^[5]
- Magenta Needle: Hugo also possess a secondary needle stored in her Arms Inventory. As shown, its a magenta colored needle with stylized guard with a pink gem. Later, when Hugo challenged Michel to a fight, Hugo used this Needle. Much like her other needles, Hugo channels Shinsu through it to activate specific techniques. ^[7]

She is probably named after the French writer and politician Victor Hugo.
- Hugo herself could also be named after the Hugo Boss fashion company, one of Germany’s largest clothing brands, alluding to Hugo’s love for expensive and high quality luxury fashion accessories, clothes and shoes.
