Like most other Board type Extreme Gears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Wind Star is shaped distinctly like a board, but is thicker and smoother than the Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders. Even so, however, it also possesses stream-like curves, making it more aerodynamic. The lower half of the Wind Star is colored white, while its top half is green, with two silver colored circular foot panels on a dark grey area that stretches across the top half. It also has a small black area on the front and a thin stripe of orange on the front tip. Slightly below the rear, the Wind Star also has two exhaust ports that are colored white, green and orange, extending from each side of the rear and connected by a white curve extending below the Wind Star.

As a Board type Extreme Gear in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, the Wind Star is well-balanced in its attributes with overall average statistics and is suited for general riding. Aside from this, the Wind Star does not possess any special abilities of its own.
Turns the Wind Star into a Yacht type Extreme Gear, granting air-riding capabilities and lets it automatically ride opponents' slipstreams for acceleration.
